Hi,

My situation is a little bit complicated. I weigth 147,8 lb and I'm slim. I want to get weigth. But right now I'm housing on-campus at Towson University, with an imposed meal program. The program doesn't start yet. But if you've ever went throught a college meal program, please help.

My second problem, is that I want to build muscle. How many push ups is reasonable to start with? Without any material to do sport outside (it's snowing), what are the other exercices I can do in room to build muscles (chest, legs, arms, etc...)

I'm 20 years old, measuring 1,80m
Help me please.

Burnout with push-ups. Burnouts are the last exercise you do at the end of your workout to really make sure you left it all(energy) at the gym. At the end of your workout just do as many push-ups as you can, dont even count them just go until you cant anymore.

Now to build muscle it's going to require you to eat the right things, high protein foods. Now to only build muscle without fat it takes low fat and high protein. For a college student I would recommend that you pick up a George Foreman grill and learn how to make meals from hamburgers, chicken breast and tuna. If you just want to gain weight, eat rice,potatoes...shot just eat anything in site and sleep on it,you will gain weight.(I don't recommend this route though)

Use your gym on-campus and start off with the basics, leg squats, bench press, shoulder presses, skull crushers and so on.

exrx.net , "muscle directory",look up some workouts that you would like to try out.

Rememeber to that bodybuilding/exercising is all in how you eat.

Sneak out food all the time to eat later. Make your own food with what they have there.

Do you have acess to a gym?

If not, do: weighted pushups(but weights in your backpack), handstand pushups(against a wall), pullups/weighted pullups, weighted dips, and deep(thigh's way below parralell) 20-rep squats. Jump as high as you can at the end of each rep as you come up. Hold some weights for more resistance.

Psch. Go over to ironaddicts.com and read up on TCD diet. A lot of people, including me, have put on large quantities of muscle on a high fat, high protein, low carb diet. I know for sure that if I'd gone with high carb, low fat I would've put on much, much more fat. It all depends on your sensitivity to carbs.

You are one lucky bastard.

I've been at Towson for two years and lived on campus last year. Great school, so many slammin women.

Why bother with pushups when you can goto the gym?
The Glenn and Newell both have healthy food you can get.
I usually goto the gym everyday before dinner, suck down a protein shake, and goto the dining hall.
Keep your meal steady in protein and carbs (vegetables and occasional pasta)

Keep going to the gym because Towson IS the place to be if you want to pickup gorgeous women.

Whoever recommended you a low fat diet needs to be checked by a brain surgeon. Judging by what you said, you're a pretty slim guy. Fat is fine as long as they are good fats.

to burnout every workout is just stupid

you dont have to kill yourself every workout or you are just asking yourself for injury OR overtraining
