would it be realistic for me to expect a weight gain from aerobic exercises, such as kickboxing or wing chun, rather then fitness?
I find the latter to be boring, non-challenging (all my friends are bigger, but i'm alone anyway), i don't get the self-esteem from it (been in it for a year a couple years ago).
i don't have a sparing partner (no one i know lifts) nor am i that talkative to meet new people there (happened the same that time, it was a big fitness though).

i weight 60kg (could be 59 by now), 183cm, 23 yrs, hardgainer by genetics (from father).
however there is a downside to aerobic that i don't have the mental strenght for it - before i've just beat myself down that i'm not good enough, worse then the others (beginners) etc.

RETYPE: can i effectively gain weight from an aerobic sport such as kickboxing or will i have to work on anaerobic (fitness) and leave kickb for the future.

I don't understand what makes you think he was drunk. He's just a fairly misinformed newbie asking for advice, nothing unusual about it.

Beside, your second sentence is wrong. I mean, yeah, you gain weight from eating, but what kinda weight? You can eat as healthy as you want, lots of proteins and few carbs, but if your daily caloric intake is higher than you expend and your muscles are not stimulated, your proteins will get wasted (meaning, you'll pìss them all out) and the excessive calories will just make you fatter, without any muscle increase.

In order to grow, muscles have to be fed AND stimulated. Kickboxing MAY be a way, but only for very skinny and unmuscled people, that is, like you. At 59kg (130 lbs) and 183 cm (6'0), you may be cut and everything, but your muscles are really small no matter what. Provided that you are constant with it and train very hard and eat the right amount of proteins, carbs and even fats, you WILL grow. Anyway, it will be a far slower process than if you lifted some weights. You'll MAYBE get to 63-65, but not over that, so you will still be rather small.

What do you exactly mean by "fitness"? If you are talking about lifting weights, well, after you've gained something with "fitness", it will be almost impossible to gain with kickboxing. It will just help you to lose some bodyfat.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
