I'm 16 and I have been lifting weights for like 2 months now and I can see some of my muscle developments. The problem is that I am not gaining any weight!

This is so frustrating and I know people say eating alot is the cure to the problem but I simply do not have the appetite to eat that much food...

I've tried eating a lot of calories (pizza) but I get the disgusting feeling of eating when I'm not hungary...

Help!?

Hey mate.

Im also trying to gain weight and eat more at the moment, and I have the same trouble trying to get food down me, so I feel your pain.

do NOT, I repeat NOT eat pizza!!!!!!

do not eat-
pizza, crisps, snacks, cakes, sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks, fast food of other kinds etc etc.
These are all empty unhealthy calories that are terrible for your body.

eat-
carbs like pasta, brown bread, rice, potatoes (whole grain if possible)
LOADS of fruit and veg of all kinds.
LOADS of red meat, eggs, and fish like tuna and mackerel.

eating properly is the first step, do that for a month, then start thinking about getting more and more food down you.

You are young, you can hurt yourself lifting weights (i did when i was younger!), start with light weights and make sure your form is good, look on the internet for how to guides on correct form for the various exercises.

Good luck mate,

Cure.

You're not lifting hard enough. If you were doing a hardcore weight training program, you would be eating like a horse.

Give details of what you're doing.

Eating food like pizza(not high quality food) will give you a feeling of fullness. TRUST ME I know. I eat a whole pep. pizza everyday in December. I won't eat for the rest of the day after that. (FYI pizza tends to be some of the healthiest fast food you can buy unless it has frozen meats in it)

Try eating higher quality protein sources such as homemade food.

WEIGHT MEANS NOTHING. It's all about the look in the mirror dude. If you see the gains, that's all that matters don't let a scale whose results have 100 variables get to you!

Good luck!
