Hey guys, friends setting me up with some women in a new town for me,

only thing is I'm totally new to the area and not such a well accomplished DJ able to adapt to all situations yet, this being one of them.

Basically, I'm in this new town for a month, arrived 3 days ago and don't know where anything fun is so I'm somewhat out of ideas. First meeting i guess I could go for the usual coffee/lunch/ whatever ... hmmm, should be interesting to see how things go i guess. In the long run, this would be something similar to a cold approach+date?

Never was a big fan of the cold approach ...

Ideas would be welcome,
cheers guys.

You can use this as a perfect opportunity to expand your skills.

It is when you're out of your comfort zone that you grow the most so f*ck getting set up by your friends.... that leads nowhere, but reliance on your friends to set you up.

Instead, ask yourself: what is it that you don't like about the cold approach?

Most of my approaches have always been somewhat 'cold'. I moved towns for uni, etc. Completely new settings. So I'm not a stranger to the concept, I've just grown used to 'knowing,' what will happen, comfort in the settings/environment i had made.

I didn't ask my friend to set me up, he just did it for me, and hey, why not take the opportunity anyway, I've never had a friend set me up before so i figure it'll be interesting. But, again, it feels completely new for some strange reason, hence my reaction.

Getting set up is not the ideal situation because it makes a woman wonder why you can't get women on your own. But in this case, being the new kid in town, I don't see anything wrong with it. You might meet someone you like, and it's a great opportunity to practice. She'll probably ask you about your life back home, so have something in mind to say that doesn't make you sound too pathetic :)
