So I'm into my 3rd-4th week of college and like 8/20 people on my floor have pledged at a fraternity. I didn't rush the first couple of weeks because, I for one, didn't know if my parents would approve and none of my high school friends were rushing either. However, all the guys on my floor seemed to have a blast rushing and now that it's over I kind of regret not participating.

Fortunaetly, there is another rush during the winter term, so I still have a chance to rush a frat. What do you guys think about fraternities/rushing/joining?

I joined one my freshman year and it gave me much social expansion. But from the way you sound, you want to pledge because everybody else is. Do something because you would enjoy it, not because everyone else is doing it or not. Be a leader. Anyway you can rush next time I guess, the advantage you have though is hearing from others who have already went through the process.

Well I kind of wanted to rush on my own anyways, but didn't really have enough info to make a decision

Wait til pledging starts and they start getting hazed. Then you'll really see how much fun they are having.
