Well we decided to check out the market in Ottawa and run some sets. We just started walking around to see if there was any interesting girls. It was pretty bad, but we did start out pretty early.
Anyway, after checking things out it looked pretty dead so we went to a bar to enjoy a pitcher of beer.
First approach (wanted to try a new opener):
Waitress (HB7.5): "Hey have you guys been served?"
Me: "Yea my friend ordered from the bar"
Waitress walks away
Me: "Hey come back for a sec!"
Me: "Hey do you watch a lot of TV? Like especially chick-shows? The reason I ask is because I was talking to a female friend of mine before I came out, and she said I was just like this character from a TV show... I think she called him 'Big' or something. Do you know what she was talking about?"
Waitress thinks for a minute
Waitress: "Oh maybe Sex and the City? I dont think thats a good thing that she called you that..."
Me: "Really? Weird... so tell me about this character"
Waitress: Describes all the negative things about the 'Big' character
Me: "Odd that doesnt sound like me at all. Well thanks for your help anyway"
That didnt really go the way I thought it would. I thought the Big character was supposed to be the picture of masculinity in that show, but I guess I need to do more research. Oh well, worth a shot.
Anyway, later Adam (sync) asked the waitress where she got her tattoos done. She had a sexy tattoo across her back. "So what other tattoos do you have?" She proceeded to show us her tattoo below her bikini line, her ankle, etc etc. Cute girl.
As we were leaving we got AIs from some girls at a table... not sure why we didnt stop to say hi.
We walked around for a bit longer, approached a few more sets with a few different opinion openers. Adam caught some girl checking us out from across the street, so he called her over and chatted her up:
blahblah fluff talk
"So what makes you special? You have to have a passion in life, right?"
"Uhh I like to smoke weed..."
"yea... ok. Well we gotta go over here now..." eject
We walk up Rideau St. and Adam opened this REALLY cute chick HB8.5, who was standing near a bus stop eating McDonalds of all things:
"Hey is there any cool clubs or bars around here?" She was super bubbly and bright... great personality. Fluff talked, she started busting on herself a bit about where she lived and what she did, so that made the ****y/Funny very easy. We teased her about a lot of stuff, called her a stalker, role played about marriage "you're perfect... we're getting married" "oh, we're getting a divorce for that comment". We venue-changed her to a coffee shop and promised to get her back in time for her last bus. She was really fun and had a great personality. Adam made sure to get her digits at a high point half way through the interaction. I was doing my best to set him up, and set hooks... basicly just practicing winging for him. It went very well. He can fill in the blanks.
After this, we went and worked the lineups for the big clubs. We saw a twoset that all these guys kept getting blown out of, so we opened them until the bouncer pulled them inside the club.
Worked another line... approached a 3 set after AIs, with the thong opener. It was weird, my story pulled in the girls from a set in line in front of us, and they were all into it too. This guy in the other set was listening and was like "WTF!!?". Totally blew this guy's mind. Adam thought the girls were all into me, but I had zero interest, so I ejected. The interesting thing about this set was that the I opened standing kinda beside them, with neutral bodylanguage, looking almost over my shoulder, and the whole set moved to be right in front of me... especially the 'target'. She stood right infront of me, and inside my 'personal space'. Weird. Next.
Bumped into our Hooter's waitress from the week before. She remembered us, so adam asked about how often she gets hit on. "All the time. I have automatic responses programmed". Interesting. I bumped into her again that evening, more small talk. Went home to bed.
Cliffs: Walked around a LOT, and found one interesting girl in the whole downtown area. Ran great game on her. Adam and I both agreed that scripted material works, but does not suit our goals or personality. I practiced winging for him. Hopefully we have better luck next time.
