For some reason, this line gets me ghosted

So I been trying to ask a question better than “What brings you here?” And I decided to frame it a bit more like she’s chasing me by asking:

“What brings you my way?”

And it’s almost like women know the dynamics of that question because they all ghosting me after I ask that. Very interesting. Anyhow, just thought I’d share my recent experiments

Yes it is. Really early. Typically my opener, she responds then I ask “what brings you my way?”

that’s too early. I liked to ask them ‘Why did you swipe right on me’ (similar to your line). But I waited until we had some rapport. An opener is too early to basically ask ‘why do you like me?’.

I never kept stats & got off before Covid so I don’t have numbers. I will say Tinder was amazing & one of the best experiences I’ve had. mostly 6-7’s. Avg. age 23. I’m middle aged. on Tinder for about 6 months or so.

you say you are not good at small talk. but you are trying to do small talk. I understand one needs to improve his life in all aspects, but I am of the philosophy that one needs to focus on his strengths and hide his weaknesses. if you are not good at small talk, then dont do it.

Whats your go-to line on OLD?

first of all I have not had much success with OLD, I have been on one date and there was no connection. I like real life because I can quickly filter out the time wasters and move on vs OLD chatting for days.

but my go-to line is just "hi"
if you think it's lame, I agree. but this is really a test. if she is not serious, she will unmatch. if she is serious, she will continue despite the lame hi.
