it was a massive part of my life for 2 decades and I’m conscious I’ve never spoken of it.

never done a martial art but I’ve spent a LOT of time involved in football violence.

It seems that football hooliganism is tacitly tolerated in the UK because it provides a useful distraction. It gives lower class white people an outlet for their anger (which otherwise would be directed towards the political elites).
