I haven't been to the gym in 2 weeks now because I've moved into another house. Anyway for the hell of it last night I stepped on the scales and I was 196lbs. Now today 24hrs later I stepped on the scales and WTF I'm 207?! The scales aren't off, everyone in my family uses them and their weight has been consistent. What the fvck then, is it water retention or what, how can weight flucuate so much in a 24hr time span?? I'm 6'3" if that makes any difference....

If you'r using a scale, there is one rule you should follow :

- Always weigh yourself at the same time : i recommend just after you woke up.

But using a scale to measure your progress is not the best way IMO. A mirror is FAR more better, because scales usually don't know the difference between muscle and fat so if you gained 4 lbs muscle and lost 4 lbs fat, you will still think you haven't done any progress. That's why i don't give a fvck about how much i weigh.

Anyhow, your weight fluctuation can have a few reasons :

1- you ate a big amount of carbs and your body holds water (1 gram carb holds 4 gram water)

2- you ate and drank a ****load amount of food

3- your scale is not working properly. Throw that **** out.

I'd recommend either a mirror or a fatcaliper

yea, i agree w/ BF

water weight can flucuate significantly throughout the day. and at 6'3 theres a lot of potential there. i dont know if it could account for the entire 11 pounds tho...but it might
