ive jsut recently started working out, im pretty skinny so i lift heavy im trying to bulk up, i workout legs and all that. ive found tho, that my legs, and like....lower part of my gut have gotten alot of flab, whereas the rest of my body is building up muslce and stuff jsut fine (not much fat at all)....most of the fat on my body is on my legs. is there anyway to get rid of thsi while still trying to bulk up? or woudl i have to go straight to a cut phase to get rid of it and then go back to bulking?

First I would ascertain why exactly you're gaining fat before deciding what to do about it. People expect to gain fat when 'b*lking' when there's really no need to. Especially if you're a beginner.

Post up your diet and cardio routine, once that's fixed you may find you lose the fat.. if not we can take further steps.

if you're getting fat, you're not the hardgainer you thought you were! and thinking you're a hardgainer isn't permission to stuff your fauce, you need quality nutrients, not whatever.

doing no cardio is another reason you're getting fat. cardio takes cares of the excesses a calorie surplus invariably includes.

and as for gaining fat on your legs/stomach, that's where you store fat.. that's determined by your genetics.

like I said, post your diet.
