Fitness Class Pickup: Venue Differences

Is there any difference between going to a fitness class at a gym like LA Fitness/Lifetime/24 Hour Fitness vs. going to a fitness class at a place that only does classes (Title Boxing, SoulCycle, etc)? Are class-only venues more effective for pickup?

While classes at either big box gyms or class-only studios have similar ratios, I've heard someone propose the idea that male competition is less at class-only studios. At a place like LA Fitness, while the men might not be in the classes, there are men on the general gym floor and that raises competition and makes fitness classes at these places more difficult.

I go to Yoga and some classes at Lifetime. My Lifetime has a lot of trophy wives, hot Boss Babes and OF/Insty thots that go there. My classes are female dominated most of the time. Even so, there's not much room to talk to the girls because they just sit on the floor with their phones or relax before class and immediately GTFO once it ends. Unless you look like a Prince Charming Chad, good luck lol.

I've gone to classes for 10+ years in a variety of locations, but mainly at an independent gym that resembles an LA Fitness/Lifetime location. I have also done some class-only places too.

No matter where you go, I find that it's a very narrow window to approach. You have about 5 minutes before/after a 45-60 minute class to do approaches. There are class formats where you can be busy putting back class equipment once class ends that getting in approaches can be difficult. You have a valid point that despite great ratios, women are not very sociable at fitness classes. I have noticed women's lack of socialability at fitness classes. I find that disappointing.

Even though I do not look like a Prince Charming Chad, I have gotten some numbers/dates at fitness classes but nothing that had any sort of longevity. I have also found that disappointing given the awesome ratios at fitness classes.

Trophy wives are generally a waste, unless you can find the ones open to extramarital sex. Boss babes and OF/Instagram thots could be useful, but there's the sociability problem I've noticed in fitness classes.

I've only been to one location, but the narrow window to approach and the lack of sociability in women is pretty spot on. None of them give out the impression that they are open to be approached, only that they have somewhere else to be after the class.

It's better that I'm not the only male who has had this experience. In general, I've seen very few men try to approach in fitness classes. I am one of the few men who has done fitness class approaches over time.

The lack of sociability and the vibe of having to be somewhere after class seems to be true in all time slots too. I've seen it happen weekday mornings, weekday evenings, and weekend classes. It's understandable on weekday mornings that women might feel rushed due to work day responsibilities, but I don't understand the lack of sociability on weekday evenings (work is over) or weekends during the day.

The girl I was fvcking with before I met my current girl, went to my gym. I originally met her through the apps and later found out that we went to the same gym. She told me that she is in and out of classes and doesn't like getting hit on at the gym. I would also like to add that my gym membership fees are about $300 a month, so it's mainly high value men (Doctors, Tech bros, Lawyers, Oil guys, Franchise/successful business owners, etc) there.

$300 a month at Lifetime? Wow! Lifetime is on the pricier end of chain gyms, as is Equinox.

My independent gym is probably most comparable to LA Fitness.

What would you say the breakdown is there of women's marital statuses? Married vs. unmarried? I would guess most of the unmarried women are in relationships too.

Depends on the lifetime location. Mine is a premium one, so it is really expensive. The cheaper locations fall in the 90-150 range.

I see a lot of seemingly single baddies there, but you never know unless you ask them lol. I go to the gym strictly for workout so I’m never prowling lol.

The cheaper Lifetimes are roughly 2-2.5 times the price of an LA Fitness.

I can’t do LA Fitness because those gyms get too crowded unless you go earlyyyyy in the morning or late at night. Plus, I’m a germaphobe that likes towel service. I can go to my Lifetime at lunch or anytime after work and it be fine crowd wise.

Bumping for the new year and fitness goals.

Despite favorable ratios for men, fitness classes don't often live up to the hype. In the thread below, some YouTube content creators ranked fitness classes as an F tier method for meeting women. Fitness classes offer favorable ratios but women generally aren't very sociable before/after classes. Then, it must be mentioned that some fitness class attendee women have boyfriends/husbands. Over the years, I've tended to go to venues for fitness classes where more unmarried women went than married women. I'm sure that a good portion of the unmarried women that go to fitness classes have boyfriends. That would partially explain why many women are not sociable at fitness classes.

Popular opinion is that CrossFit is a true fckfest. LTRs/marriages getting broken up when people start going etc etc. Seems you have to become a proper CrossFit w@nker to be accepted/included though.
See a bit of this kind of clique culture in my local gym, but less in the more upmarket area of town. Fine if you want to join in with that kind of thing. A lot of gyms do socials etc. I'm really only there to exercise though.
