I just turned 27 and i have lived a life of mediocrity. I don't have a lot of experience with girls, i live with my parents, i have a crappy car, and i'm not exactly setting the world on fire in my professional life. I'm good with girls, but i have never had my own place and my shame prevents me from seeking out females to form a relationship with.

I really want to believe the saying--"you can do whatever you want, if you put your mind to it." But with countless setbacks and not really being remotely good at anything, i feel lost. I can't seem to catch a break and most of my life has been a struggle. I just wish i could have things go my way just once. NO one knows the hell i'm in, because i'm good looking and i am good at portraying myself as happy and successful. People seem to think i have the world at my hands. BUt inside i'm miserable and disappointed in myself.

Most people have talents or find his/her talent, but i can't seem to find my niche. I try to be optimistic, but it's hard when nothing seems to go as planned. I want success, but i don't know how to obtain it. I have a lot going for me, but i can't seem to pull myself out of the rut i've created for myself.

This isn't a feel sorry for poor old me post, i'm sincerely scared to death because time is ticking and i am going no where! At my age, i should have a house, car, and be making decent money. I believe in myself, i really do, but i just need an opportunity to prove myself.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. I swear, i am really desperate for help!

wrong! you're only 27 and in these day and age it is rare to find someone your age with what you said. With house prices so high most people have to work a couple of years for a decent downpayment/to have savings first. Not only that but a lot if not most people out of college don't start making "decent money" right away. Many struggle to find a job, many work other jobs and get experience, others go and get more degrees once they find out one is not enough nowadays etc etc.

Don't get so upset with yourself you are not the only one in the same situation, there are countless like you (myself included). While some of your problems require time (buying a house, finding the job with decent money, finding your niche in life) one thing you can fix is your girl problem. PM me if you want to talk I have your same problem and worse!

Stop focusing on what you have or have not. Stop feeling like a victim because you haven't caught a break. Stop comparing yourself to other people. Find out who you are. Find out what your needs are (not your wants). Work of fulfilling those needs first. Your wants (such as your niche) will come to you after you figure out who you are and embrace it.
