so im pretty happy right now. the girl that ive liked for a long time- we just started talking and reconnecting. you see, we were never really friends before this, but we both like eachother. the only problem is, before we can become more than friends, we have to gradually build that up so that we (I) dont rush anything. im not sure how slow i should go, but tradtionally how long do i wait to build things up? what are the dos and donts now considering we are just friends? can i hold her hand? can i kiss her? dont forget that she knows i like her, and she really wants to get to know me. so do i make sure not to rush it but still keep it real.

Get physical as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the more she starts viewing you as a friend. The friend zone is a sexual graveyard accumulating guys everyday because of societies' "friends first" bs.

Don't ever second guess on stuff like that. I didn't and I don't with my girl. When we first went out, I read her body language and I didn't ask myself "should I hold her hand?" I just did it. Like Faded said, not being physical is gonna leave you holding your **** and not your girl. Touch her as much as you can and when things start rolling along, you will see why being physical was a good idea.
