last friday I went to a bar with a friend and his GF.....we were just kicking back at a table in the back and I was just scoping out the scene......looking for victims.
Well, this one HB 8.5-9 over at the pool tables caught my eye and tempted me to go talk to her, but I noticed all the guys that kept flocking over to her, buying her drinks and trying to talk to her.......she would keep picking up her drink and moving it over to a different table from those guys.
from what I saw, I thought maybe she was being stuck up, so I decided to play it cool and just stay back for a bit......pretty soon she walked away from the tables and in my direction towards the bathroom........when she got close to me, our eyes met, and just to do something different than what I'd normally do (look away) I kept eye contact with her and flashed her a smile......she smiled back at me and kept on walking.......next thing I know my friends bust up laughing......I asked them what was so funny and they said when that gal went past me she turned her head to keep looking at me and walked right into the wall!!! I decided that was my cue to make a move soon, so when she got back out and went back to playing pool, I waited a couple of minutes, grabbed my beer and ventured that way......I started out just watching everyone play.......got real talkative with everybody (I was in a town I'm not from and didn't know a soul there) and pretty soon just started a casual conversation with her
I had decided to try this differently that particular night......decided I would not buy her a drink, andwould not make it obvious that I was hitting on her.
we talked for about an hour nonstop......she would see someone she knew, go over say hi and come right back to me and start up the same convo right where we left off.....one the she said that made me stand my ground was when she made the comment about "all the testosterone in the bar and everyone buying her drinks, probably trying to get down her pants" even while we were talking people were sending drinks her way, "mostly one of her friends that she said has always had the hots for her, but he knows that nothing will ever happen" but it never phased her.....she just kept talking to me not paying much attention to anything else.....eyes stayed locked most of the time, leaning towards me uncrossed arms around me........which was different from earlier around the other guys.....took it as some good BL signs
I found out we had very similar interests.......I'm a biker and a musician into classic rock, and she said she was raised around harleys her whole life and won't ride on the back of anything else......said she tried taking guitar lessons once, loves classic rock, and she likes tattoos......that was part of our convo.....comparing tats.
after awhile my ride decided they wanted to go, so I had to cut it off, so I asked for her phone #.......she was hesitant for a sec, and I said..."Oh, I'm not that bad of a guy" and she asked if I had a pen....I pulled out my cell phone and her eyes got huge, BTW just got a new cell...color display....bout the best thats offered in this area, anyways, I entered her # and she told me to give her a buzz sometime, and that I may have to leave a voicemail if shes at work.
so, a few days later, I decided to give her a call to see if she wanted to grab lunch since I was gonna be in town this week. But no matter what I wasn't gonna leave a voicemail the first time asking her out
she told me she wasn't sure when she'd be available because her work schedule hadn't come out yet but to call her later in the week so we could set something up, and if she wasn't around she would probably be at work and leave a voicemail and she'd call me right back as soon as she got home.
anyways......after that long story......I'm not sure what day is best to call her...tues or wed........this isn't the only gal I'm talking too, but definitely the best looking and our personalities seem to match up really well and so I don't want to blow it.......theres just that little voice in my head once in awhile that keeps telling me shes not interested, but I just keep trying to shrug those doubtful thoughts out, besides......never know if I don't try
