I watch UFC and pride religiously and i see guys who are my height, weigh less, and have bigger muscles then me. I don't understand how this is possible?

I'm a little over 6ft, weigh about 185, have about 10% BF, and i see guys who weigh 170 with bigger arms, legs, and shoulders then me.

When i cut, i lose tons (and i mean tons of mass) in my arms, shoulders, back, and legs (my stomach seems to retain the fat though)........my strength also suffers. When i gain, all of the weight goes directly (and i mean directly) to my stomach.

It's frustrating as he!!.

I change my routine alot.

I usually work my legs out twice a week and the rest of my body parts once.

Exercises:

Chest: Dumbbell press, bench press, incline, dumbbell flys.

Shoulders/back: Shrugs, military press, pull downs (machine), wide grip pull ups.

Triceps: Dips, tri extentions (machine), skull crunchers, and behind the neck dumbbell extensions.

Bi's: Preacher curls, hammer curls.

Legs: Leg press, calve raises, leg extensions, and squats.

5 days a week: i walk two miles, jump rope, and work on abs.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My diet, i usually only eat breakfast and dinner. Like i said, i eat very little b/c my gut gets huge if not!

Give an example of food you'd eat in a standard time, including approximate times and amounts.

ok well a shorter person is going to be able to gain mass easier if you think about it, their muscles are shorter, easier to fill out, while yours being at 6ft at longer. they are probably more cut than you, the people that weight less, and have a better lean body weight in comparison to you. you also have to take into consideration bone size and if you have large bones and they have smaller bones, obviously their base will weight less than yours.

I already know what your saying, my question is how the he!! can someone have bigger muscles then me and weigh less? Being cut doesn't mean you have bigger muscles.

I'm willing to bet you're not pushing anywhere near the weight you need to be pushing man.

Start making strength gains, and the muscle gains will come.

I bench 305 and squat around 400. Keep in mind i lift alone without a spot!

Strength has nothing to do with size BTW!

Eat RIGHT. Eat lots of meat, dairy, veggies, eggs, whatever, while keeping the carbs and fat to non crazy levels. HIGH PROTEIN.

Being more cut gives an illusion of size remember. A 15" ripped arm looks bigger than a 15" flabby arm, for example. And hell, comparing yourself to people on TV is not the same as comparing yourself to people in real life. Guys who look huge on TV might be average compared to you if they had to stand next to you.

If you're saying they weigh less but have bigger muscles then you're talking physiologically impossible unless you have remarkably heavy bones or something.

Losing mass when you cut is just another reason to do away with bulking and cutting altogether. Keep your size and gradually fine it down.

alot of these guys are juiced.

Also, you can train a muscle to look bigger even if not necessarily stronger.

Alot of wrestlers are very light but strong and cut as heck.
