Three weeks ago I went out with David_Med@hotmail.com. He hasn't posted on SoSuave for a while, but he used to be a regular contributor.

At any rate, it was great hanging out with David. Here's the adventure...

Early Saturday I had hung out with some friends in Hollywood, and I was on my way home around 9:30 or so. I talked with David on the phone, and we decided to meet at a club called Rio, which was on my way home.

My intention was to just grab a beer or two and get a chance to meet David. I had not had much sleep that week, and I was pretty exhausted, but I was really looking forward to meeting him.

My first impression of David: I liked him. There was no mistaking it - he was a player. But he was an incredibly sincere player, that I knew that girls would feel very comfortable around him, and at the same time enjoy his bad boy side. It was a killer combination.

We head into the Rio. Very classy place. It looks like a Brazilian restaurant, with live music and attractive girls.

We probably stayed less than an hour - just had a couple of drinks and talked with a few groups of girls. Two groups were memorable.

The first was a group of girls that we talked to as soon as we got inside. We left them after a few minutes and came back after we did a walk of the club. I asked one of the girls if she missed us. She said no, so I turned to David and told him that the girl said she missed us. She started saying that she didn't, and I gave her a hard time for having bad memory.

The second memorable group was a cute chick (Michelle) and her friend. We were actually about to leave, then I notice Michelle and walked up to her and introduced myself. I asked her if she was staring at my butt, and right on que David comes and asks her if she's checking his friend's butt.

She says that she wasn't, but now she will, and starts staring at my butt. David immediately takes over her friend (thanks for jumping on the grenade bro), while I play around with Michelle some more. I basically complain to her how I'm tired of all the women in this place either staring at my butt or my chest... that I want to be appreciated for my personality, and not just for my body.

She was going along with it, and tells me that now I know how girls feel. David jumps in and asks me if she's hitting on me, and I say that I think she's actually interested in my personality, and how nice it is to have a girl who's interested in me for me, and not just for my body.

I guess there was some Salsa music playing, because Michelle asked me if I know how to dance it. I say I do and suggest that we dance. She says that she's waiting to pay for the bill, but that we can dance later.

I tell her that David and I are actually leaving in a few minutes. Right away she tells her friend that we're leaving. The tone of her voice was "hey, do something before they leave!"

She asks us where we're going (I got the feeling she wanted us to invite them), and David tells them Yankee Doodle. She makes a face and her friend says that that place is trashy. David just looks at her and tells her that's why he's going. I loved the way he did it - no shame at all.

Okay, I have to admit something here. David had told me that place was ghetto. The girl said it was trashy. I was starting to worry about where the hell I was getting myself into.

Anyway, I got Michelle's number with the intent that we would go Salsa dancing sometime soon.

We roll to Yankee Doodle. By this point, I had expected a dark and stenchy place. Where every guy I talk to is trying to peddle one drug or another, and every girl trying to sell me a $50 ******* in the club restroom. It was nothing like that.

It was just a regular hip-hop club. I really thought that I would be out of my element since I hadn't been to a hip-hop club since I came to SoSuave, and back then I would approach 10 girls for dances a night, get rejected 8 times, and then go home. I did not like hip-hop clubs at all.

Instead, I found myself as comfortable there as I did in any other situation. I guess I changed a lot over the last year and a half.

Anyway, we go to the bar and get a drink. David just jumps in a group of girls and asks which one of them is going to buy him his first drink. Some girls laughed, some were shocked. I was enjoying it!

The bartender had a very beautiful smile, and I relayed that to her. I told her that if I could package her smile, I'd be a billionaire. I think she liked that compliment, and I played around with her for a bit and suggested that she and I were lovers in a past lifetime. We had fun, and she was a good participant.

David and I started walking around the club and talking to random girls. In one end of the dance floor David started chatting with a cute chick. I jumped on a major grenade and started talking to her friend, who probably had a waist bigger than David and I combined... Haha.

I was relieved when David decided to sarge another group. ;)

A little while later he was getting along pretty well with a cute girl. So I left him to run his game and went solo working the room. I would just walk to different girls or groups, say a few words to them, tell them to mingle with this other group, and basically act like I was the owner of the club.

I did that for a few minutes until I saw this pretty hot black chick. Not to sound racist, because I'm not (my brother-in-law is black), but I'm just not very attracted to black girls in general.

But she was an exception.

She was walking in my direction and I walked up to her and extended my hand. She shook it and I asked her if she would marry me - that was my opener. She laughed and asked me if I used that line often. I just laughed it off, and we started talking.

Sometimes I like to play a game with girls, where we do really weird or dumb things. A friend of mine who's heavy into NLP says that I condition the girls to follow my lead... but I just do it because it's fun.

Anyway, I told her to go to David and tell him that she's looking for MotU. She asks me what's in it for her, so I give her a kiss on the cheek and tell her if she does a good job, she might get lucky. She gives me a look like "I can't believe you just said that." I just laugh and tell her to get going.

Note: I normally would not have had a chick go up to a wing when he's with a girl, because if they're a novice (which many of my friends are), then they'll usually fumble. But I trusted that David could make the best of the situation.

So she went to the wrong guy. I had to go to her and take her by the hand and tell her that's not David (he had a similar shirt on). I led her to David and then walked away while she started talking to him, and then took her back a minute later.

We went around the club talking for a bit, and she kept on asking me for a drink. I broke one of my rules, which is not to buy drinks for a girl that I had just met in a bar. I figured though that after all this, it was only fair.

So we went to the bar, and she just pointed at me without saying anything, and the guy starts preparing her drink. I just look at her and say, "Sweetheart, how often do you come here?"

She laughs and tells me to ask the bartender. I ask him, and he says 3 times per week. I just look at her and start laughing really hard, and she starts laughing real hard.

At this point I guess I could have just walked away and not paid for the drink, but the truth is she earned it. She played a better game than me, and I actually respected her for outplaying me. I handed her drink, shook her hand, and sincerely told her that it was a pleasure to meet her and I walked away.

I needed that. It's great to meet a girl who plays the game better than you - definitely keeps you on your toes!

By then it was around 12:30 or so, and I was exhausted. So I told by to David and on my way out I stopped by the bartender to tell her that I'm leaving. I was shaking her hand, and she just would not let go. What surprised me way more was that she remembered my name. I left with her telling me that she looks forward to seeing me again.

I got home and crashed almost instantly. David had called me a while later to make sure I had gotten home safely, but I was already asleep and the phone was set for vibration. Still, it really meant a lot to me that he called to check up on me. Thanks David!

Well, that's the report. I had an awesome time, and look forward to hanging out with David again soon.

MOTU,

I really enjoy your reports. It's good to see some regular posters meeting and applying some of the knowledge shared here.

Why hasn't David_Med been posting, lately?

That was a good read.

yeah your reports are always great to read.

question: how do you say it when you say the stuff about "lovers in a past life"? in writing it sounds kinda lame (no offense) and transparent ... is there any trick that you use to sound genuine? or just smile and be spontaneious. do chicks ever call you on the SS patterns as being lame?

Excellent report MotU, nice work. I'm gonna steal some of your moves, cheers! :)

Personally I really enjoy hanging out with guys who understand where it's at. One of my wings is at that level, unfortunately the rest are AFCs.

Hope to hang out with some of you DJs if I get stateside at some stage.

iso: this is a perception thing: when I read that report the line seemed natural to me. It's a very simple trick to sound genuine: actually be genuine.

I believe in reincarnation, and a lot of Buddhist philosophy. Maybe it's outside your frame of reference (e.g. perhaps you're a Christian) and that's why it seems cheesy to you, but for me, that line works great.

Be cool guys.
Oscar.

=D !!!

Uhhh, Mr. Universe, sir...

That was a spectacular post, and I'm sure an ever more specacular adventure. Now, trust me, the spiel I'm about to get into relates to teh post, I promice ;)!

I work in an average size mall [100 large shops or so], in a womans clothing store. On break I usually take a strole for an icecream cone, looking for an interesting conversation. Sometimes after a succesful approach, where I've told some funny personal stories and shes related, we've both been laughing hte whole time, I'll simply introduce myself and leave, with the intent on closing during our next encounter [if they work in the mall]. But I've been unlucky in this respect, often not seing the woman again.

Your situation with the bartender reminded me of my little problem, and I'm wondering why do YOU not close in situations like that? At the very leased write down your #, and pass it to her while your shaking hands [I'm sure she gets closed on 398743 times a week]. I'm just wondering your thoughts on the ABC's. Later bud, thanks for the read.

Oh yeah, I normally only visit the HS forum, when you reply it'd be a huge favor if you'd PM me, so I don't miss it. Thanks again!
