female roomate - need advice - free beer for replying

Long time no see...

Ok, so we are getting a new roomate. Of course it's a girl. Out of the other three guys I live with, two have girlfriends, and the other is too wussy to actually make a move on a girl.

This girl that will be living with us (as of tomorrow) is pretty hot, and worth making a move on. I know, I know, "don't bang roomates." However, it's only for three months. Until the start of April. What worries me, is that I have other girls that I plan on... "having fun" with, but obviously, if I have something going on with the roomate, I can't bring them back here. HOWEVER, both of the other girls have their own places. I guess I'm trying to see if it's worth the effort to get with the new roomate. It's three months. Three months can't end up that badly. It's not like I have to deal with her for a year or longer.

I'd really like to see what you guys have to say, cause it's a tough decision. If this was just a girl at a bar, the moves would be easy, but for me, this is all uncharted territory. Also, I plan on letting the roomate know that I'm not looking for anything serious, to keep things fair. Also, to be fair, I'm not gonna bang chicks one room away while she's asleep. Although the real question is, will she give me the same respect and courtesy?

Sorry about the lie about the free beer, I was told to put it. Man that part sucks for you guys, but oh well.

Seriously, though. Any insight at all is appreciated.

Practice your DJ skills on your new room mate but DO NOT do anything beyond c/f flirting. Joke about pursuing her with her but never do not act on it during the time she is living with you.

At the same time you are flirting with her, pursue other women fully and don't hide it. Basically let her see how much of a DJ you are but yet you do not let her in on the fun. Her interest level may rise with the attention you give other women but not her.

After teasing (taunting) your room mate for three months, she could be VERY interested in you. Three months may seem like a long time but remember that you will still be active with other women. PLUS you will have an outlet for entertainment by watching your room mate react to your flirting but yet your greater attention to other women.

I definitely agree with what you have to say, however, I think I left out the part that once she's gone, she's gone for good. She's gonna be at least four hours away. Which is as good as being 100 hours away as far as I'm concerned. I guess it really does depend on how much of a ***** she is. If she's a mega *****, I can get it when I want, without having to worry about other girls, but then I'd have to worry about stinging when I pee. That would suck.

I dunno, I guess the smart thing would be just to let her be, and hook up with her hot friends. So, that's the goal. Unless someone gives me insanely awesome advice I didn't even think about.

Continue to persue other chicks - make sure she knows that thats what you are doing.

In fact, bring other girls back to your pad - so your rommie knows that you have other women.

Then you make a move on her.

You basically want her to know and get familiar with the idea that you are dating other chicks - then you advance on her - that way she knows what she getting herself into.

If she doesn't see and know that upfront - you could be in for an ugly situation the next time you bring a girl home.

I had a female roommate a few years ago, so maybe I can offer advice.

Definitely do not try for anything with her. If things don't work out, you're stuck living with an ex-GF!! Man, you do not want that.

However, female roommates make great pivots when you go out. If only I'd known at the time, I could have used my female roommate as awesome social proof, since she was very hot.

Well, ok. I just wanna thank you guys for the advice. There's such a good combination of things to do, so I'm gonna take all of your advice. Sitting here a lot more sober than I was last night, I have to admit, I already knew what the answer was. I guess I was just looking to see what others thought.


Bad move on my part, I know. Regardless, the plan now is to definitely let her know I'm not looking for any serious relationship in case I make a dumbass move and do try something with her.

selfcontrol, using her as a pivot is genius. If only I saw past the prospect of "easy sex," (and by easy, I mean I don't have to go anywhere) maybe I could have thought of that.

aint this the truth. My roommate is a female and a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. We've lived together for over 1 1/2 years however I have no sexual interest in her because we've known each other forever and she's like my sister. But we go out sometimes to dinner or clubs and its a social pivot for other girls...also she works at a makeup counter in the Mall with other hot girls so she's always putting in the word for me to other girls. Thats the best thing about having a female roommate is the other friends she brings over. Hmmmmmm I'll take a Samuel Adams.

1) Theres some lines you dont cross with friends be it male or female. 2) Imagine being in bed with your sister...see its not a pleasurable site, thats how it is with my friend/roommate 3) her boyfriend is 6'5 245 lbs ex football player and has an awesome knock out record. Plus he and I are cool and hang out and drink alot

I agree that there are some lines that you don't cross, but that doesn't mean that you don't have the desire to cross them. I wouldn't do that to a buddy, but that doesn't mean that I don't physically want to even though I would never cross that line.

Exactly... I used to do this with my best friend who was cute... It worked like a charm... Take her out to places where you want to pick up chicks, then use some kino on your roommate. Then approaching chicks who've seen you with her is real easy because you've had proofing, she can even be a good wingman and keep HB's friends preoccupied in conversation. ~Zappa
