The man was almost 60 years old too. The national media won't make much of it because there's no race angle to play up. The stun gun had video and showed the man was no threat face down in the snow. She tazed him several times and then shot him twice. She sounds like some kind of nut. Well at least she's being charged.

Mearkle on Feb. 2 had attempted to stop Kassick for an expired inspection sticker, but Kassick drove to his sister’s home in the 100 block of Grandview Avenue and fled on foot. Mearkle chased him behind the house and used her stun gun, striking Kassick in the back with the probes, Marsico said.
Kassick fell to the snow-covered ground and was lying face down when Mearkle ordered him to show his hands. She continued to use the stun gun while Kassick was on the ground, then shot him twice in the back.
That she is being charged is exactly why it should be news. The fact that a police officer most probably committed a crime as to be charged should be news, not some lie that a police officer committed a crime like in the case of Ferguson.amoka said:If she's being charged, what exactly would you want the media to "make much of"?
