Female Hypergamy

Roissy's latest post on female hypergamy put me into thought.


Does female hypergamy means a wants a guy who is "superior" to her? Like a 5 be happy with a 6? Or does female hypergamy means they want only the best? Like every girl 1-10 wants the 9 or 10 and only begrudgingly settle for the other 3-8 and pretend they are actually happy.

I ask this because there's no way in hell I'm a 9 or 10 nor a lot of my friends are either. It is not a very comforting thought any female attention to me or other is not because I'm of some value, but because they can't do better so they lie to themselves that people below a 9 is what they really want. Rationalize their limited options.

They will either find what they are happy with, or someone who is perceived as above them by even a little bit. So if you are a 6, 5's and below should be no problem.

Every female wants the best man there is, this we already know.

The point he makes in the post, is that uglies will settle for lesser men. A 6 would rather go for a 7 or 8, rather than shoot for the skies and try to date the club owner or tiger woods.

Of course all women want 9's and 10's, the same way any married man would rather have maria sharapova. We rationalize our options and are content with the 7's 8's and 9's.

Did you really read the article on Roissy's page. Because your question said you didn't or you didn't understand what you read. Read the bit about the birds again. Ugly bird chics settle for less than alpha guy birds because they know they can't keep those alpha guy birds. Or as my daddy used to say, there is someone out there for everybody. Yeah I read it, you can also take out that most birds are never truly happy with their man. I have to give myself a realistic assessment, I'm not that worse catch around, but I'm not superman either. Some of stuff by Roissy and others, like when he talked about women are not allowed to work and so on make them feel inferior by default, seem to say that just being "superior" in some sense is enough.

What I'm rambling is if hypergamy mean never happy but the best. The rest is a lie.

Let me put it like this, I would like to get someone as hot as Megan Fox, but I would still just as happy if a girl looks attractive enough even if she's not. However, I'm wondering if women can't really be happy unless they really get their equivalent to Megan Fox and I'm not that equivalent. I'm not that alpha. Hell, Roissy just named a guy who ****ed and run on a girl he impregnated as Alpha. I can't be that cold hearted (and not enjoying the idea that women at heart want him and then cuckold a guy with a heart).

Well like I always say, if your talking about what's alpha and what's not...you're not Alpha. So as much as I love to read the Chateau I take it all with a big ole grain of salt. Look around you, plenty of people settle in relationships, some even grow to be very happy in them. And of course some women will never be happy no matter what. Just do you and as long as your woman acts right (right being what's right for you) then go with that. Worrying about if she really is happy is only going to mess up your own head.

Yup, women will learn to settle. Perhaps, not all of them will be happy with it, but many of them will. To some extent, we all settle. I would love to have a garage full of exotic super cars and date only supermodels. My situation isn't quite like that, but I can't say I'm distraught about it.

There are definitely many fat girls out there who think they are hot sh*t and that they can score millionaire husbands with model looks, but they will one day realize that they have to settle. Either that or they'll just grow old, lonely and bitter.
