I think i can receive some good insight here. Im moving into my new house shortly. I have the option to paint it any colour i want. When i picture my room in my head, i see it as either a navy blue, or a forest green. Than i wondered if these colours were too dark. Im no expert on this, was just wondering if any of you were satisfied with the colour of your room , and what it is... I want it to look comfortable, and suave..

navy blue with white trim is nice, and so is a gray color for trim.

Simplicity is the key. Something clean. White is never a bad idea. Remove your tv from the room you sleep in. Keep the room basic and sparse. Remove any books or other crap as well. Maybe add a small simple player for your I-Pod or MP3 player. Keeping EVERYTHING white is always a good idea. Make sure the lights that you go with are not too intense. Make it so that you wake up to fresh outdoor light. Try different light scents. AGAIN, keep it clean, simple, and fresh.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Depends on what kind of energy you want from the room. I say kill two birds with one stone go to one of the major paint retailers who has a cute design specialist to help choose colors. You can practice your sarging skills while she clues you in on manly colors that help women feel relaxed when hanging out at your place. ;)

for some reason i could picture:

Black paint with random hot pink and hot green squares at the top.

and then a black light in your room.

but i'm 17... won't look nice i guess if you're older and you own your own house already.

but thats just me... it sounds pretty sweet to me... but might be REALLY hot during hot seasons.

i'm into "punk"-ish themes.

Only would you boys make this into a post about "hot chicks" :p. Paint retailers and sarging. I have now heard it all. And to think, if I had done what I was supposed to do I would probably be doing the same exact thing :nervous: .

I am kinda into the whole Scandanavian Design look now. I like its simplicity, its clean lines, and the overall feel it radiates. A good number of hotels are going with that look because of its relaxing qualities. Your bedroom is about rejuvenation. You want to avoid clutter and loud colors. You want to avoid clashing objects and/or colors. Lack of intensity in the bedroom is actually what you should aim for. In one word - SIMPLICITY.
