However. Is it weird to add someone who you work with (In different departments though) and have never properly spoke too, especially not enough to know her name, but someone told you her name?

If not, how do I pull it off etc. We work different shifts (Her morning, me evenings) so only when I am working a full day do I get to see her. So I really have no ideal opportunity to speak to her. This would be my only way of getting to her.

Yeah, try speaking with her a couple times first so she'll definately know who you are when you add her as a friend. Very few people take kindly to friend requests from people that they don't recognize.

Fair do's. To be honest, I thought that anyway. Just wondered if there was any way I could pull it off. But thinking about it, theres probably not.

So now I need some sort of situation/way of talking to her. I dont work with her often, and I leave in 18 days.

I'll figure something out but its when there is no situation to comment on I struggle. Cold approaching without something to talk about straight away, I find slightly awkard.

So I figured I would steal this thread since it seems as though Peter's question has been answered... this is pretty crazy...

I came home last nite and jumped on facebook, to find this really hot chick friend requested me. I'm thinkin... "hmm, this chick doesn't look familiar but she's hot so I'll say yes...". So I accept it, and what do ya know, shes on. So I message her in the facebook instant messenger lol. She gives me some sht about how she thinks she knows me and I look familar and blah blah. We get by that and wtf she's pretty cool. So we end up talking for like 4 hrs, the first 2 on fb and the last 2 over the phone lol. She was drinkin wine by herself at home, lol so was I, and our convo was interesting. Haha I talked her into sendin me a pic of her tits (Amazing tits lol... she was braggin em up... it was so easy. Lately I have been the master at gettin chicks to send me the nakedness pics. I seriously have received like 5 nakedness pics from all different chicks in the past month). She texted me today... and we are gonna go out this weekend. Just wanted to put this out there bc this is pretty fckin cool.
