Man...I don't know...

I think generally Facebook is bad place to try to make a move on a woman. I tried only once and it didn't work out and left me feeling creepy, so I vowed never to do it again...no matter how hot the prospect.

Facebook profiles are generally a person's virtual turf. It's not their dating profile. I almost equate it to walking onto someone's property, knocking on their door, and flirting with them completely out of the blue.

Do you not know any of the people she is friends with? If not, you have no way in unless you really want to reach out - but prepared to be rejected or possibly blocked.

Put it this way, I'd be even leary of a women Facebook messaging me. That takes a lot of effort and I be very concerned of the motive.

Sorry man...I just don't think it's worth it.

I agree with expos, I used to try gaming chicks on fb and its a VERY slippery slope into being called/classified as a creepy guy. Not to mention if she knows people you do she'll most certainly inform them and embellish it only to make you come off as a creep even more.

If you must though, the safest and most inconspicuous way is to send a friend request and then a message saying something like "I thought you were someone else I know, now I'm confused.. Have we met?"

Gauge her response and act accordingly.

Try the High School forum, they'll probably know.
^^ This.

Facebook? Seriously? Get this weak sh*t outta here.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.
