Facebook: Deactivate? Or just Unfriend recently-minted ex-GF ?

What are your thoughts?
Note that I use FB to update family and friends about my son with pics etc.....

BUT...
I do not want to see what or who she is doing !!!!

Neither. A few girls have unfriended me but I never give them that satisfaction.

Instead, there's a setting where you can just make it so you don't see any of their updates or Facebook activity. Only way you'll know anything about her is if you actually look on her page.

Problem solved.

Both say NO to deactivate

But Stig says defriend is OK?
Do they get notified?

There is no notification when someone defriends or block you, you'll only know if you notice that you're no longer seeing any of their status updates or them vanishing from your friend list.

I've only "caught" someone in the act once, one moment they were online and the next suddenly they vanished from the chat list along with all their status updates in the newsfeed. Usually I only notice the friend count went down by 1 and sometimes can't figure out who went missing.
