I'm wondering if I can apply the EX2 system in my situation. However, she's basically the other woman. It's been 2 weeks and 1 day since I started no contact, and I'm beginning to doubt if she will contact me first. The EX2 systems suggest that you should break no contact in about 4 weeks, and act like you're over everything and want to be friends but that seems kind of afc to me. Shouldn't I wait until she contacts me, even though it might take months?
BTW, even though she's the other woman, I miss her so much. I don't know why, I just can't seem to get over her.
Background:
So here's the gist of it. I've been dating and sleeping with a girl I met from work (she no longer works there) for about 4 months now. She's 23 and I'm 30. She knows that I live with my gf of 10+ years, but that didn't stop her from coming over when my gf was out of town, or coming over in the morning when she is at work. The sex has been fantastic, and we act like a real couple when we go on dates, holding hands and kissing etc. I was starting to devlop real feelings for her.
I know she is also sleeping with other guys, but I'm ok with that because, let's face it, who am I to say anything?
However, she ended things with a text message recently, saying that I was telling her my feelings too much, and that her and I want different things, and that it is getting too real, with real feelings being involved, and that she hopes I understand.
I thought it was really disrespectful to end things via text, so I asked if I could call her. She acted kind of hostile, saying "there's nothing to talk about." I stayed calmed, didn't react, and said I just want to hear your voice one last time. So she said "fine, wait until I get home, shower and eat, and then you can call me if you want"
We talked on the phone, I tried to plead my case, and even said I would break up with my gf, but she basically kept coming up excuses why we shouldn't be together, such as she "doesn't even know when she can see me because she's so busy" and "even if everything worked out, I can't trust you, because you cheated on your gf".
I sent her a goodbye text, basically saying I'm sorry things didn't work out, you're the only one I want to be with, and that I wish her the best.
She sent a text back the next day, saying I don't have to apologise for anything, but that I'm acting like we're never going to speak again. I told her that I've been crying all day, and that talking to her but not being able to be with her is too painful, and I told her we can't be friends (very afc, I know). There was no response to that, and I haven't texted her or called her since. That was 2 weeks ago.
