ethnic Chinese girls

Anybody had any experience with actual chinese girls and I don't mean an american girl whose family is from china but a chinese girl from china accent and all. I read some stuff a while back on how their dating norms r kind of weird by our standards where basicly they play a really shy hard to get and expect the man to keep trying eventho they say no for a while. Then they want to get to know the guy and be friends for a while before anything ever happens.

This happened a while back but she is still on my facebook, she doesn't get on there much but she just posted a pic and that got me thinking about her.

So long story short I met this really cute chinese girl in my mba classes and I start being friendly to her in class. I added her on fb and she seemed excited as she accepted and sent me a message like hey you found me. She would tell me how nice I am and really seemed interested in who I am as she asked alot of questions about me. Anyways I never could get her alone cuz there was this asian guy always around her and I thought maybe he was her bf so I did probably the worst thing possible and asked her out on fb, basicly I said Idk if that guy is her bf but if not I'd like to take her out. So she says she is in a relationship and later when she sees me starts acting really shy around me so I just left her alone. I'd see her in passing and say hi to her in chinese but other than that I just backed off.

Then we had a tax class together and I never really said much to her til one day she fb me asking for help on a tax return. I was probably the best student in the class but there were other chinese guys in the class who were good students and of course they could communicate with her in her native tongue and she struggled some with her english so I'm wondering if she is giving me an opening. She ended up calling me about the work but it could have been handled by email and that was actually how I helped her by sending her some info via email, so basicly she had no need to call me and we could communicate better via writting than in spoken word. So then she emailed me and thanked me saying she owed me a cup of coffee. I'm not really looking for a pal and last I knew she said she had a bf so I'm not sure what to make of this. I probably should have been more direct but I ended up just messaging later after she asked me somethign else mentioning her bf thinking she would correct me if she was single and interested but she didn't correct me so I just let it go.

I always wondered if I should have pursued her more, especially after her asking me for help out of the blue and then saying she owed me a cup of coffee. She almost never posts on fb, so it was kind of rare to see her post that pic today, but every now and then she "likes" some of my posts and I think about messaging her and trying to take her out. I find foreign girls really attractive so I tend to find myself in this situation of things being a little more difficult for all the cultural roadblocks. So I'd be curious to hear about some experiences with chinese girls from china or any other experiences with girls from other cultures.

I think she views you as her little foreigner friend and nothing else...but...

You could always try one last ditch effort... because of the fact that she is abroad...will explain further down.....

I live in Taiwan which is basically an outside province of China even though politically they independednt from China...but all Chinese people and culture here..

The girls are MUCH MUCH different than western women in general and especially the USA.....if she has a boy friend and you have let it be known to her that you like her then that is why she inbtially began to act so shy and offish....I deal with this phenomenom on a weekly basis. which most of the good looking ones do....also they all believe the stereotype of the super horny white guys....that can work for you or against you in some cases....but also keep in mind that they think it is really cool to have a white or foreigner friend to talk to....but most of them view it as just that and nothing more...

The majority of them here at least, really are that strict...because they are taught that only a slutty woman would talk to a guy who openly likes them if she has a BF, especially a white guy...she is trained that her peers and elders will view her this way..so that could explain her initial reaction......sure there are a lot of lose women here as well, but they always go to the nightclubs and such and are very easy to find...

However, with all of this being said... Chinese girls who go ABROAD tend to be very different and more open minded than your average Chinese girl....chances are your's has a special wet spot for white guys, especially if you are tall and have blue eyes...they go gaga over blond hair and blue eyes.........most of them that go abroad have this syndrome it is well known here and from what i have seen is almost always true....like i said...give it one try at least.....the average Chinese girl does NOT travel at all and if so...it's a small trip to Japan or somewhere like Singapore...not a foreign exchange student in the states even though there are quite a bit of those...

But if i had to bet money...you are friend material in her eyes...

I'm not going to comment on TW as it would land us in pretty big trouble over here suffice to say that China sunk an awful lot of money into taiwan and its pretty sh1tty on their part to want to seperate... bunch of ungreatful bastards, can't imagine the women there are any different. You got some crap opinions of guys/girls here in China... I would chalk that up to dating Korean women (Asia's most westernized women). Chinese girls aren't really interested in leaving the mainland or their families, only the real opportunists and living in China is pretty damn good, I have it much better here than I ever did at home.

OP, there are soooo many single women here, if you like Chinese then you can just come over and pick one who doesn't have millions of rmb in her bank account or 2 apartments from both her parents.. girls like that. are spoiled from day 1.

White guys get yellow fever for asian girls, guess what it goes both ways... Yellow girls also suffer from bouts of white fever aswell. Its pretty natural, not all women are gold diggers...chinese have a reputation for being pretty good with money and they are.... doesn't mean they are gold diggers.

Everybody understands that 747 immigrants with visas are almost all from merchant families, while wetbacks are almost all common laborers and unemployed. Also, even at the State U. level, maybe 75% of domestic university students are from the pettiest of the petty rich. It goes without saying that college students in the US are not representative of the common folk. So of course foreign students are trash and/or fugly unmotivated dumbheads who can't be trusted with the cash register in the family business.

LiveFreeX, I suspect that most of the posters on this site are completely unaware of just how much the university and nightclub pick-up scene is a totally alien environment to the plurality of American men.

We all pretty much get the double entendre in that song about shuffling . . . that men and women in the nightclub scene keep shuffling their sex partners. It's clear that they'd have just as many acts of intercourse if they lived in a traditional subsistence agriculture society and had sex only with their spouses for life. So what good is accomplished by the shuffling? No good at all. They just hurt each other by the constant rejections (especially the rejection of dumping and picking a different sex partner). Men who accept the premise of shuffling have abandoned the premise of mating.

So you are going to stereotype women and people in general over here based on decisions made by the back then Nationalist government of General Chang Kai-Shek, Taiwan's first politcal leader?...not to mention the fact that China is a communist party...with that being said, there are many great things about and places there China such as places like Tibet and such...but in general, Taiwan is much much nicer than China if you have ever been to both places..

The people here are much friendlier and laid back and there is much less racism...yes the culture with the younger generation here is influenced by the west but it is still very much Chinese traditional culture here.... the women here are also much hotter than in China and you don't have to live under a communist goverment that brainwashes it's people and heavily restricts internet usage rights....and i actually love the women here just because of how hot a large percentage of them are and feminine acting they are.

But meeting high quality women here for relationships is much like in the states if not even more difficult, because none of them are trying to use white guys for money or a green card or visa and most of the high quality ones prefer Taiwanese guys, especially if you don't live in Taipei the nations's capital city......in others words it's not nearly as easy as in China where all you do is show up and chicks are begging for LTRs and marriage....ugh. That takes all the fun out of it....no challenge whatsoever.

But in general, if you moved to another country just for women like what you act like you did in another post, then pity on you...i came here for traveling purposes and martial arts....you are obviously a major AFC based upon your other thread bragging about your Chinese wife and judging a country's people for something ridiculous in the first place that happened in the past...
