I've got a question for you guys... I have two zits in my body that have been there for years. One on my right cheek, one on my lower back. I empty them every week or so, because otherwise they just become bigger with no ending (I let them grow for a month or two and eventually just decided to pinch them again because it was clearly not going anywhere.)

Now, I'm wondering if anybody knows how to get rid of these things. I haven't really tried that much because people don't really notice them, but I'd rather get some advice from other people before I start messing around with them.

Those aren't your typical zits. I really doubt anyone here is going to be qualified to diagnose you over the internet - you should probably book an appointment with a dermatologist for this one.

As far as advice - I've got a couple of keloids (raised scars) that I thought were pimples on my shoulders and chest. they're harder than a pimple, and quite a bit larger, but still feel "liquidy." If that sounds anything like what you have, you definetly want to get it checked out - keloids can sometimes grow quickly if left unchecked.

I don't think they're keloids. It's something that runs in our family, my mom has them and my grandmother has them as well. The best way to describe them is zit-popping addicts. They pop everything in sight. I'm the one that knows that that's bad, and I want to get rid of them.

I might see a dermatologist about those things some day, if they really start to bug me.

I'd definitely get them looked at. I wouldn't be surprised if the dermatologist wouldn't use a laser to remove them for around $100-150 (insurance doesn't cover cosmetic surgery generally speaking... though perhaps it wouldn't be cosmetic if they're actually a nuisance).

Acutane is a possibility, but that's suposed to have a lot of scary side effects, so i'd definitely see your doctor.

Accutane is for severe acne, not "one or two zits that never go away". It's used as a last resort, and I'm 99% sure that no derm would ever recommend it for the problem he has. So no, it's not a possibility. :p
