and i think this might be the problem with a lot of guys.

hence guys telling women how attractive they are.

much of the dj advice is about avoiding that. and treating hot chicks how they want to be treated.... i would imagine it's similar to how celebrities want to be treated.

as real human beings first. if they're hot and idolized, they WANT to be taken down a peg?

Totally. Hotties understand the power their looks bring, but the brighter ones have little respect for that criteria.

However shy and unaffected they may act, they take it for granted you will find them attractive. People don't appreciate compliments on something they are confident about. If you're a really great singer or cook or whatever and someone compliments you about it your like 'yeah, I'm great I know' and it's an ego boost but not as valuable as the same person getting praise for something they're not confident about.

Not that you should be showering a woman with compliments anyway, but if you want to reward a hot chick for something, base a compliment on anything other than her looks.

And yes, the hotter the chick, the more she will enjoy the rare thrill of a man teasing, disrespecting and even insulting her, if done with charm.
