When I drive around I often see these kids (young men) driving around in these little souped-up cars that sound like my Savage SS and they all exhibit the same tendencies:

1) They drive around in these unecessarily fast, jerky movements.

2) Their body language is fast & jerky. You can see them looking around all over the place, left & right, with their head twitching around fast like a bird. It's like they have no self-control and are all excited and self-conscious, thinking they look cool by being all "intense".

3) They weave in and out of traffic, just about trading paint with me as they try to squeeze by.

4) They usually seem to be skinny, frail kids.

5) The cars sound like little toys, though I suppose they have some acceleration. These are the kind of cars we would have laughed at when I was a kid, when muscle cars ruled.

Obviously I'm out of touch with the 20 year old scene, but are these kids considered cool or douche?

Loud and fast are not the same thing. I would guess you're hearing "fart tip" mufflers that add about 3-5hp to the typical economy car, but make it 20 times louder, which is why they are so popular. It's much cheaper to sound fast than to be fast.

Import tuner cars were popular 20 years ago when I was a kid. Turbo is what makes them fast, and turbos are not loud. It's kind of a whooshing sound. Turbo is so quiet that they make a custom 'blow-off valve' for the turbo just to make it louder and more obnoxious.

Try hard douche-bags. To put it bluntly, they're just pvssies who act tough.

Just one more reason why I'm ashamed of my generation.

It strikes me as very bizarre, but I thought maybe it was because I was out of touch.

They look scared & nervous and amazingly self-conscious. It's like they're running away from some imaginary pursuer with head and eyes darting around like a chipmunk. I can't see how a girl of any class at all could be attracted to guys like that.

Glad my douche radar is still well-calibrated after all these years.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

Unfortunately most of my generation loves cars that emphasize style over substance. There are some fast cars that sound like that, but they're rare. Usually they're just pretending they're in the Fast and the Furious.

There are some of us who enjoy cars that are actually fast for the thrill of it...and don't give a fvck what anyone else thinks of them.

Hey I was 16 not too long ago.

I had a buddy who was a fwcking insane driver, got ticketed every month, and just did crazy risky stuff. You know what I thought? I thought it was cool as fwck.

My first month of having my driver's license I did risky sh1t just for the hell of it. In my mom's minivan. I thought I was cool and bad@$$ for doing it. I crashed into my friend's car after 1 month.

Thankfully, I learned.

Yeah, my real focus though is on their spastic body language (quick, spastic movements). I think they must be that way out of their cars as well as in. Is this true?

I would say "twitchy" and self-conscious are the words that best describe what I observe.

Out of curiosity was he wearing an "Affiliction" or "Tapout" shirt and had spikey hair?

It's not a "him", it's a "them".

It probably varies a lot geographically, but around 20 moles north of NYC the streets are crawling with them. I can't go out of the house without thinking I'm at an RC car rally.

Yes, I think they often have the shirts and hair you mention.

There are several different types to this. Are you referring to the tuned scene, or the scrawny kids who can't drive their hopped up "race cars". They both suck, I just happen to know more about one than the other.

Canada, eh?
Tri-color Civics are the modern day's hotrods. Given the gas prices that is what it is gonna look like. And eBay is what old folks called swap meet back in the day. And they are twitchy anticipating a popo who would try to give them a VI or what not.

Suped up Hondas? Are idiots still doing that? It used to be the style when I was in high school as well. A bunch of obnoxious children revving their engines after school in the parking lot to show off. Too bad nobody other than their own friends even really cared.

People were more impressed with stock BMW's back then than a $2000 car with $10000 of parts in it.

What book is this?

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Being that I'm outside of that age group, I have no idea what I'm looking at. All I know is these kids zip around like a killer is hunting them down, like they're in fear. It amazes me that the body language seems universal to them.

i actually like cars like that. Sure its nice to have a Porsche, but i can take 15k buy myself a oldschool car model, put another 20k into it and it can be as fast if not faster off the line.

I'd like to be able to have a daily driver, my luxury and my ricer car (that's what they calls those cars). Most people that have those types of cars are as everyone says, drug dealers or really rich. As it's very flashy and loud. I probably would opt for the quieter version. I just like/enjoy how the car looks after being geared up and i enjoy speed/being able to modify it.

The car i'd like to supe up would be a 93-95 Mazda RX7. Stock alone is already really fast.

I do like muscle cars too but their bigger, and more maintenance compared to Japanese cars. Plus being that i'm Asian, it's just more fitting to be driving a sleeker, smoother, and more compact/better handled car as opposed to large, loud, and poor handled. I'd rather buy a cheap shell with a workable engine to modify then have to put alot of money into a new muscle car straight up.

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.
