END THE STRUGGLE... LIFE IS TRULY SHORT!
People walk around complaining, getting upset at small events and situations that don't go as planned (rejection, getting fired, losing things, getting sick, breakups). It is as if most people take life for granted and somehow believe that they will have unlimited time and health in this life.
Take a minute to truly realize the fact that minute by minute, day by day, your life is slowly being taken away from you. Not from a negative point of view. from a deeper realization that time is truly limited. Take a minute to understand how in the blink of an eye, you are STILL in your 20s, another blink, and you will find yourself in your 30s. Next thing you know, you are in your 60s and beyond.
When you take the time to take a look at the bigger picture, this helps to put things into perspective. Time is a limited resource, and this realization may help you to start generating a deeper sense of appreciation for every experience that unfolds in your life minute by minute, day by day. You may start to realize the insanity and irrationality of getting upset and frustrated at things that you cannot control in your environment, the struggle, and mistakes made along the way.
Let me ask you a question. Can you remember a time in your past (let's say during high school years) were you were going through a very emotionally overwhelming experience, stress, which today does not affect you anymore? looking back into that memory, and how many years have past, I would like you to realize that even though back then it seemed that those experiences were overwhelming, today they NO LONGER hold the power to affect you negatively...
Sure those experiences were important for you to become the person you are today!, but ultimately you may realize that today it DOESN'T REALLY MATTER that you struggled so much in the past. In the same way, take a minute to think of CURRENT situations that may be affecting you, that may appear to be overwhelming, and begin to realize that 20 years from now, this struggle WILL NOT MATTER TO YOU.
100 years from now around 99% of people currently walking on this planet will be gone, including you and me,along with our struggles, our worries, and extreme overwhelming experiences. It may seem that 100 years is a long time, but take a look how fast your life has come so far.
100 years from now, your fears and feeling that life is overwhelming today will be gone, and IT WON'T MATTER. Stop taking life seriously and learn to put things on perspective, not from a negative point of view, but to gain a deeper realization of the preciousness of every moment. Only then you will become more accepting of your current life situation, no matter how overwhelming it may seem. You may even learn to enjoy the sometimes painful process of learning to live effectively in this world.
