Encouraging indepedence

When a man encourages his girlfriend to go out and meet other people, it shows he's an independent person who's not afraid of his girl leaving him. It makes him an alpha guy.

This is what David DeAngelo says in his "Mastery" program.

In the "Guru" interview, however, Dr Paul states that his former fiance cheated on him after he had encouraged her to go out and meet other people.

Now, how should I act when my girl tells me she's going out for the night (without me)? Should I ignore her comment entirely and start talking about something else? Should I say 'Have fun' and start talking about other stuff? Or is it best to even encourage her to meet other people, since it would make me come off more attractive?

Is she like going out with her girlfriends to celebrate one of their birthdays at Applebee's?

Is she going out with her two single girlfriends who are both slvts to the hottest club in town, dressed all sexy?

Is she going out with her coworkers to happy hour?

Does she live with you and come home to you at night?

I think the answer depends on the circumstances.
