I've been working with Diesel's regimen, and I must say that I have seen great results! I've gained about 5 lbs in two weeks as opposed to hardly sh!t before.

Anyways, as we all know, protein is absolutely vital in the gaining of muscle, which means I've been eating lots and lots of hardboiled eggs lately.

However, I look at the nutritional content and I always knew that there is a lot of cholesterol per egg, but I didn't know 70%+ of your daily value each!!!!!!!

I heard that it's mostly the yellow portion of the egg, so I was wondering--do most of the other people here eat only the WHITE portion of the egg??? I definitely don't want to stack that much cholesterol!!!

I believe you used creatine. Gaining 5 lbs. of pure muscle in only two weeks is impossible unless you're above the mesomorph rank or so.

To your question:
Yes eat the yolk.

One question for you:
How many eggs do you eat in a day? 20 is definitely bad.

If you have fine cholesterol levels- Eat the yolk and white.

If you have high cholesterol levels- Eat the white only.

However, if you are eating the yolk and the white, don't go overboard with the number of yolks per day. I'd say no more than 5.

Eat some oatmeal and foods with high fiber in it. Foods with high fiber in it tend to reduce the amount of cholesterol in your body.

Also there is the matter of "good" and "bad" cholestorol, as I recall eggs dont contribute very much bad cholesterol at all.

On top of that, its the serum cholestorol that you need to watch out for, that is the amount thats floating around in your blood and creating blockage. Have it checked if its a concern.

My personal trainer has told me to do 3 whites per 1 yolk for optimum results. Throw the other 2 yolks away. Having that set to go with your meal is plenty fine.

Dietary cholesterol has never been proven to have any effect on serum cholesterol. In fact, it has been shown in studies to have little or no effect, but to my knowledge, most of the research is inconclusive.

Eat up.

If you eat multiple yolks a day every day for a long time, expect to die from a heart attack at an early age. It might be true that the cholesterol isn't "bad cholesterol." But maybe not.

I usually have a 3 egg omelet with 1 yolk and 3 whites. Whites have 0 cholesterol and 0 fat; they're pure protein. About 3 grams. The yolk has about 6 grams of fat, 3 grams of protein, and 70% of your daily cholesterol. Do you really want to risk having blood problems just for an extra 3 grams of protein? Pinch a little extra powder into your protein shake to make up the difference...
