Effective Ways to Make Money without a Job. How?

I have been without a job for an extremely long time. If it weren't for my parents, I'd be goodness knows where doing who knows what.

It seems to be extremely difficult for me to find a job. So I'm interested in ways to make money that don't involve a job.

I don't mean to say that I'm not willing to work to get the money. I most definately am. It's just that it's seems near impossible to get a job.

I only have a few rules:

1) Nothing illegal. 'Nuff said.

2) I can't work evenings regularly. I have evening classes thrice a week and I really, really do not want to give that up. If at all possible I don't want to work Saturday evenings, because at the time that time slot holds very special significance to me. I'd like to get a regular 8-5 Monday through Friday job, but like I said no one seems to want to hire me. I may tolerate overnights, although it's something that I really, really do not want to do.

3) Has to be full-time. The bills won't pay themselves. Plus one of these days I'd like to move out of my parents' house. I wouldn't like it, but I would be willing to consider a remote-control kind of thing (say, a landlord who has property in another town).

4) It can't cost a lot of money upfront, because I don't have a lot.

5) It can't prevent me from going to college. I'm intent on finishing my degree. However I will need to start going to another school eventually and mortgage payments don't pay themselves.

6) Please no smart-aleck remarks like "Just go to Burger King." Those aren't helpful. I refuse to work for fast food again (it's the job I held in high school).


I assume that I'll be attending college part-time, so I'd have time to do this. Chances are, I'm not going to attend full-time because I'm not loaded with money.

An idea I have already is to sell on Ebay. Provided I fulfill my deadlines, there isn't any particular time that I have to work. Plus it's portable, so if I move to another town it's no big deal. However, where would I get my stock?


Any comments, provided they aren't stupid or silly, are welcome.

Either that, or better yet just get a good digital camera and start selling OTHER peoples stuff. If you could find a way to do this without the overhead of a storefront, you could clean house.

I think Ebay is still a HUGE untapped market that enterprising individuals can take advantage of.

youre not going to find anywhere an effective way to make money without a job....im sure many people know, but theyre not going to give their secret away otherwise nobody or too many poeple would not work. this is one of those things that you have to find out by yourself

My friend sells cars on ebay. What he does is he bids on a car and if he wins puts it back up so that somone else will buy it before he has to go pick it up. then they pick it up and he didnt have to do any work.

Im not sure how safe this is if you havnt seen/tested the car but he does make alot more money than most kids and only has to work like 2 housr a week on a computer.

How about this, everything you do, for something you want, is a job. Look up job, you have to work for it to be a job. To work, you must WORK. To sell something on Ebay, you must have something to sell, and you try to convince poeople to buy it with competitive pricing. If that is not work, than my whole life is a sham.

What you want is, in the right words is, How do I make money effectively. Without working for somebody else. If you don't want to work for yourself, the only way is to wait for it to fall in your lap.

You've got to be a man, be a DJ! Be something more than you are, right? Be right, work for your money, you want to know how to do it more effectively.

What do you mean by effectively? Do you mean with less time, for more money?

If you really want to know, work smarter.

I never said that I wasn't willing to work. I see your definition of "job" is different from mine. I used the term in the way most people use it most of the time; when you work for someone else, you get a paycheck every week or two, and you get a W-2 every year.

I said "without a job" because I'm going to need more money one of these days, and no one wants to hire me.

You're probably right. However, I thought my title pretty well summed it up. Like I've said before, I never said that I wasn't willing to work. I assumed that I'd have to work for myself, since getting a job is next to impossible.

What I mean by effectively is that just earning a few hundred dollars a month won't cut it. And the time to cash ratio can't be obscenely poor (like it can't take me 10 hours to earn $50).

It would also need the ability to be able to make me enough money to live on, without requiring so much time that I have no time for anything but work and house chores. I don't count on my ability to find a job, so I'd have to rely on this exclusively.

will any blood bank pay you or do oyu have to go to a special place?


I have heard that you can do the same thing with sperm, and they pay $75-$100 a donation, and you can donate every week for about a year. Easy money.

Actually you are wrong. Learning how to do it is as easy as going to a library or bookstore.

It's people's laziness or inability to accept unconventional ideas that prevent them from making money without a job.

Selling stuff on eBay is very time consuming.

Photographing items, transfering photo's to computer, listing items, uploading photo's, answering emails, driving to the Post Office, Standing in line at the Post Office, packing items for shipping, emailing non-paying bidders, etc...

I hear Sperm Donors can make $50.00 per "deposit" and can make up to 3 "deposits" per week.

$650.00 per month for doing what you already do ain't bad coin.

Depends on where you live for the blood portion, do some research, not every state/country/county/continent/clinic is the same. I wouldn't mind doing some research into the two closest cities where I could do both. If I could sign up for a few safe and money making alternatives, for something I would like to, and like to do again, or differently *wink wink* I would move there, and live like a king for a year. I might even be inclined to make a few donations to sosuave for bringing us together.

Well, what I said still holds true, you have a job, but now you are your boss, and you determine when you get paid. A better job in my opinion, but without the security, and you've got to learn to stay on your feet. What STR8UP said, is true as well, if you are too lazy, or don't want to accept the unorthodox(**** I hate these biblical times that have invaded the language sometimes) methods, that will prevent you from making money, period. Man, I've really got to learn to teach you guys what you've indirectly taught me, my life has made an amazing turn around in the last 4 days, if anybody other than you reads this Abbott, I feel sorry for them. I will tell you guys, but telling you now, would be a waste of your thinking.

I apologize, but I delete parts I thought were oblivious to our arguments. LOL, wel here's something oblivious, Dr.Beard's ****ting in his boxers story, my brother JUST told almost word for word, the exact same thing. I'm so happy I'm not an 80 year old geezer who abused his body while he was young and having fun, yet.

For this argument, Derek Flint gives an excellent reason as to why, and how obscenely funny what you just said was. If you had more money to spend, you could hop on over to al77's thread about increasing your credit score and read some threads there, don't do it if you are afraid of laughing at how fun you are even in a mirror though.

You know there are people, who get paid, to live in people's houses and do their chores for them? Some turn out to be crooks and rob you blind, thats what insurance is for, but you probably don't want to hear about that right now. Just saying, don't worry about chores, worry about yourself, and have some kids, the kids will do the chores for you.

As for making sustistence money, just go on welfare for a month, you'll learn a few lessons about what you really need to be happy, better yet, don't waste tax payers money, just go be a bum on the street, and don't do drugs or alcohol, you won't be part of the "in" group, but at least you'll learn what you NEED in life to survive. Only for a month though, those bums get to be real downers sometimes, always bumming for spare change and all. LMFAO, stupid americans, "nobody ever lost money over underestimating the intelligence of the american people" that is very true in this case. Those guys on the street, are drinking it up, and filling themselves with your hard earned nickels and dimes.
