Eating raw eggs?? Anyone here does it..

I am trying to gain weight and one thing that i heard is that its good to eat some raw eggs every morning. Does anybody here do it and want to give me some insights on it. I am 6'5 140 and despretly need to gain some weight. I have been sick lately so havent been able to work out but i want to still try and gain some weight while i am at home. I started working out and doing good before i had to have surgery and now ive had to stop for 2-3 weeks until my wound heals.

I usually eat about 3-4 raw eggs in a protein shake every morning. They'd probably be horrible just eaten raw without anything else but the shake masks any raw egg taste or texture

If you want to be cool while eating raw eggs, make a hole in a raw egg, a small one, then put some salt in, cover the whole with your finger, shake it up, and suck all the insides out. It's awesome.

Eggs are good for you raw/fried/boiled, whatever. Usually people eat them in different ways because you need to eat a lot of eggs, and 12 eggs can get kind of boring to eat when they're all hard boiled.

If you really want to gain weight, you should try squats and milk once you are able to workout again.

hmmm the idea is not to gain weight but to become healthy. Your goal is to improve your overall lifestyle, by eating right and lifting weights to build muscle and bone strength with minimal bodyfat.

Eating raw eggs in your protein shake is NOT enough to become healthy. If your looking to gain weight through calories stuff your face with pizza and pasta. You will gain weight but you will not be healthy.

You are NOT thinking big enough. Improve ALL ASPECTS of your nutrition and a few raw eggs won't make a difference. Improve all aspects of your training and weight won't make difference.
 

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Yah my main goal is to gain healthy weight but i cannot work out now so thats one reason i wanna start eating raw eggs since they have lot of protein in them and not too much fat. I am open for any advice

eggs are more fat than protein i believe.
you should be worried about eating more LOTS MORE meat than wondering if you should eat raw eggs or not (go for it, any egg is good.)
listen to drum. maybe eat at least a lb of meat a day.

...so you want to gain lots of fat? You can't do any training of any kind?

First of all, fat isn't bad for you...second what is the point of eating all this protein just to gain fat. Your better off eating pizza and pasta as Drum suggested. You'll reach your goal a lot faster. Personally if i were trying to just gain fat this is what I'd do

Meal 1: Pancakes with loads of butter and syrup + a big cup of milk
Meal 2: 3 slices of cold pizza and mozeralla sticks
Meal 3: 2 Ham and cheese hot pockets with a giant cup of moutain dew
Meal 4: Spaghetti with Rinaldi tomato sauce and a couple Pepperidge Farm chocolate milano cookies that have a rasberry filling
Meal 5: Indy Double Whopper, Fries, and a large coke
Meal 6: I'd wind down around ten o'clock with twinkies, doritos, and a big cup of barqs Root beer
Meal 7: I'd lick the edges of my mouth to get the rest of the cheesy dorito goodness off my lips, I'd then find and eat the left over crumbs that fell on my bed and floor from the doritos...and probably have a cup of vanilla coke to wash it down with...

Wow....that kind of makes me sick....

Time to go eat some tuna!! :rolleyes:
