Hey all... I'm 15 and about 6 feet tall, I weigh around 165-170. I dont consider my self skinny but i'm not fat either. I used to be very fat just 2 years ago until I hit my growth spurt. But now I notice my self eating more and more every day. Some times I eat more than you could imagine. For example for dinner one night I ate a large cheese steak sandwich, french fries, macaroni and cheese, an omelete, a slice of pizza, and a poptart. I used to only eat like this once in a while but now i notice it becoming more frequent, it's like I get eating binges. I dont know how to stop them because i am just sooo hungry feeling. At the time when im eating i could carless. Its like the only thing that matters is that burger (ex.) Until the next day when i realize how much I ate. I also notice my self starting to rapidly gain weight. I need to know how to stop these eating binges and eat normal. Any ideas??

don't try to control your eating binges, just eat better food.

Instead of that cheesesteak, a chicken breast on 2 pieces of whole wheat. Still hungry? A bowl of oatmeal, some cottage cheese and yogurt, a can of tuna and some scrambled eggs.

If you eat things that are good complex carbs and protein, you can eat MORE because they have less calories per gram.

Eat these things, some healthy fats (flaxseed oil, fish oil, olive oil) and do some workouts, and you'll be fukkin swoll.

I went through the same thing as a teenager and I can relate to what you are saying here. It's a good thing you are aware of your problem now rather than later, when you are obese, as it's always easier to prevent a problem than to repair it.

I think the advice you have been given so far is very good. Try eating healthier food and try eating small meals more regularly. 8 small meals throughout the day is healthier and more satisfying than 3 gormet meals.

But above all you need some willpower. This may seem like a mere eating issue at the moment, but it's just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. If you keep surrendering to indulgences your entire life will suffer.

However, eating binges are a serious and recognised (finally) medical problem, so I highly recommend visiting your doctor. He/She should be able to sort this out before it gets out of hand.

Sazuki's post is right on point as far as I'm concerned. However, beyond that, it's all willpower. You have all the information you could ever ask for on the Internet, but it won't do you a bit of good if you can't hang mentally.

Just don't buy junk food and you wont eat it. If you dont see it in the cabinent, you wont think about it. Just replace it with better, more healthy stuff. Atleast, thats what I do.

Drinking water throughout the day helps keep appetitite in check. Also you could learn to eat many healthy meals evenly spaced throughout the day.
