Eating after weights

Hi All

Could you please tell me how soon after working out should one eat - i normally do a two hour workout finishing around midnight - i go to be relatively soon after. Also, what types of food after - High protein?

Ideally you want to ingest your immediate posst-workout nutrition in LIQUID FORM - making sure it is high in Protein and High-glycemic carbs.. and virtually NO FAT!! (LESS THAN 10 GRAMS)

FAT SHOULD BE AVOIDED FOR AT LEAST 90MINS. POST WORKOUT IT SLOWS THE BODY'S INTAKE OF PROTEIN AND CARBS...

AFTER YOU WORKOUT, YOU HAVE ABOUT A 2-3 HOUR "ANABOLIC WINDOW" BY INGESTING A LOT OF FAT DURING THIS TIME, YOU BLUNT YOUR BODY'S ABILITY TO CRAM AS MUCH PROTEIN AND CARBS INTO THE MUSCLE, THAT WILL LATER BE USED FOR MUSCLE REPAIR AND RECOVERY - WHICH OF COURSE LEADS TO GROWTH.

Yes, a meal replacement shake, mixed with a juice or sweet drink should will do the trick. During that window, that is when the body is most thirsty for nutrients, and will absorb the shake very well.
