Dumb mistakes on the phone

So I’m sitting at home this past Tuesday doing absolutely nothing so I decide to call an HB8 who I know wants me and lives maybe about 15 minutes away.

Anyway, we spoke for about 10 minutes and I ask what she's doing right now. She says that she's just chillin and about to sleep because she has to wakeup early in the morning to run some errands and that all of her roommates (4 people) went out for the night.

I then proceed to be a dumbass and say; okay well I’ll let you go to sleep then  . After I got off the phone, I had the feeling of jumping in front of traffic after saying that. I think my problem was that I broke the unwritten rule of being extremely distracted when I was on the phone with her, I was cooking.

If I was a DJ, I know I should have worked my way over to her place but the damage is done. I don’t know if I’m making this out worse than it really is but I had to type something since it’s been in my head all day.

I think you may be making it out to be a bit worse than it really is. I would have tried to set something up (like a date for later), but it really doesn't sound too bad.

What was the purpose of your call?

If you only wanted some talk cause you feeled bored, of course it then okay to let her go sleeping. No problem to call a girl and just say hello and talk a bit. There is no obligation of always arrange something when you call.

Yeah, I will say the purpose was just to say hi so as you said, it was probably okay.

Yeah man, relax. If you know she wants you, I doubt that you "letting" her go to sleep is going to hurt anything. Even if she didn't "want" you, I can't see it being a big mistake or anything.
