I need to hook up a computer without built-in wireless to the DSL router(already configured and supplying internet to 2 other computers). I only had experience with high-speed cable routers/network cards, not DSL. Is there any fundamental differences i should know about or i can just buy any G compatible network adapter(like linksys), install the driver software and i'm good to go?

So you don't give enough to allow a good answer, dude. Is the router wireless? If so, what SORT of wireless? What sort of computer are you connecting? Desktop? Notebook? Linux server?

I take it you have a wireless router??

If no, get one..

Then get a wireless card for your computer and laptop.. These are first two or one steps, depending if you already have a wireless router or access point.. Then post back for more instruction..

Yo, Levex.. You need to get a wireless G compatible card for your other computer.. Preferably not USB, either PC-CARD or PCI.. What kind of computer, is it laptop, what brand and model.

For a desktop I'd go either USB or internal. If you're just surfing (not gaming) then USB will be fine and it's pretty easy and trouble free. Otherwise go to newegg.com and find an internal G adaptor.

The a/b/g variants are pretty standarized across brands so no worries, just get one with good reviews.
