If a chick is saying something to you (about you) while drunk, is it likely that she means it in a sober state?

I worded that sentence really badly.. lol, Oh well. If, for example, she says she loves you while drunk, does she like you sober or was it just the alcohol?

Are you talking about while you are drunk, or while she is drunk?

In this situation, is can vary. Sometimes they might really mean it, and sometimes they might not... there is no set rule for this kind of thing. But if u ask me, i wouldnt believe it 100% until she says it in a sober state.

Diablo is certainly right. You usually say things that you wouldn't normally say when sober. Now don't simply assume that someone will tell the truth, or how they really feel. I know I'm a lot more socializing when a little tipsy and get others to laugh better than when sober, but I've managed to transfer quite a few of those qualities into soberness.

Lol, I would say exactly the opposite. Come on guys, we all know that alcohol loosens the lips(both sets I guess for women). If a girl says something to you when she's drunk like "I've always wanted to f*ck your best friend XXXX", then denies it when she sobers up saying "Oh, I was drunk, I didn't know what I was saying!", you can bet your life that she DID know what she was saying.

The thing is, when things get blurted out in a drunken state, they're rarely put in context or explained completely, so yeah, SOMETIMES it's not exactly the truth, but a skewed version of it. It's up to you to decide based upon your knowledge of the other person etc.

I have seen it many times where chicks would tell a guy they loved him, that they wanted him to f*ck her, and the next day regretted it. But alas, at times they COULD mean it, but read the 1st part of my post where i said:
ometimes they might really mean it, and sometimes they might not... there is no set rule for this kind of thing
Next time quote my whole post if u wanna disagree with it;)

No problem.

I think we're basically on the same page on this issue anyways.

It's possible. I've seen people change a lot when they become drunk. They might say things that they might have thought for like two seconds and ultimately didn't mean.

On the flipside, I've also seen people speak their mind.

You simply have to pay attention and play it by ear.

Personally, I can think of only two things that I've done when feeling a buzz that I haven't done while sober.

- I've called a girl hot when I was feeling the buzz (I really thought so too, just that I wouldn't say so when sober).

- A few times I've tried to dance when I really can't. It's an even worse idea if you don't like the song. And at parties people usually play what's popular, which is generally what I don't like (though after enough beers it's easier to ignore the music).

Other than that there's nothing that I've done after drinking a few beers that I wouldn't do stone cold sober.

I really must have an amazing amount of self-control.

Also, I've never had the desire to have sex with a girl while buzzed, but not when sober. Namely, my standards don't go down.

Ben

P.S. When people say they don't remember what happened the last night, it's a load of crap. I always remember what happens. People say that when they don't want to recall what happened or don't want to tell others.

Yeah, my standards don't go down either.

I also always remember what happens. I agree with what you say, except when someone drinks so much they pass out or something. Then I generally do believe them when they say they don't remember anything after a certain before (usually a little before they pass out). But there's a lot of people that aren't all that drunk (not even close to throwing up) that will still say they can't remember anything.

I'll have ya know that I often get so drunk I can't remember things.

Saturday Night for example. The day before my 22nd birthday.

I was at my mates place, he had a big family event on. I was slamming beers home. Probably had 9 or 10 beers at his place.

Then my sister picked me and my mate up and drove me into the city. She tells me that I was headbutting my mate alot of the way there, I can't remember that.

When at the club, my friend tells me that I picked up 2 girls. I can't remember either of them. I did get a number, its in my phone, but no idea who it is or when I got it. I can't remember those.

Then some girls invited us onto there party bus. We went. All I can remember from that was me and my mate being the last 2 on the bus, and the host coming and kicking us off. I can't remember anything that happened before that.

THIS IS TERRIBLE! beleive me. its very dangerous and it sucks *ss to not remember you're night out.

But I drink dangerous ammounts of alcohol sometimes.

Ok thanks for the thoughts, it seems there is mixed opinions on this matter..

Its probably also possible that people will knowingly say things while a bit drunk, then use the alcohol as an excuse later if it backfires.

I suppose in this particular situation I'll just play it cool and not think anything of it, then just see what happens in the near future.

I have also got so drunk that I honestly do lose all memory of incidents, and it is kinda scary when you hear stories of what you did and have no recollection of it.. But by the same token, I've also claimed that I don't remember things when I fully do just because I wanted to blame the alcohol.
