Its great that alot of u guys wanna get into the fitness ting, but I just want to stress on the important of developing those quats glutes strings and calvs. Alot of guys who get into it just for looks tend to focus only on the upper case they see that the ,most important. But look at it this way if u could have a girl with a nice ass, or choose one with a nice ass and rack altho your an ass man wouldn't it be the one with both you'd choose. Precisely, and alot of women fid calve development one of the sexiest things on a man. The calvs are one of the few muscles you get to see very often, wearin a three quaters or shorts or whatever and ladies are sure to sneak a peak from behind when u arn't lookin.

Relatein an incedent that hapend to me a while aback. I was takein a jog one evenin and wearin a shorts as i usually do. I was joggng when this some people in a car kept hollain at me but i couldn't make out who they were. Later that evening when i was going out for a snak again in a shorts i spoted the car again but this time i could make out that it was strange girls who i didn't know wavin and smileng at me. Afetr analyzie the situatio i ealize they were in awe of my calve development.

Also toany girl who know you into weight train always stress about not underdevolping the legs because theyfind they look great.

And lastly the pelvis, legs, gluts and calves muscles are probly some of the most important muscles used for lovemakeing, so with all this in mid, train those legs

Squats (box/parallel/atf's) are definately the number 1 exercise for upper leg development

on top of that they are generally regarded as the best exercise for stimulating your body's own anabolic/androgenic hormones like test and GH so they are important to mass development overall.

just make sure you hit parallel or lower (unless you know why you are doing partials) many guys dont go low enough and leave out the glutes. this gives them a handicap later on, and you would be ignoring a surprisingly large muscle group.

everyone today it seems works their upper body - having a nice set of wheels can really set you apart

shyt. i've been missing out my legs for about two months now, while exercising everything else.

just back in from the gym now. i pretty much demolished my legs. (i was only squatting with 22kg dbs - pretty sh!t eh?) well, i gotta start somewhere

Dont worry about not being strong. People go to the gym because they want to get fit. Not because they already are fit... No one cares if are weak, as long as you try to improve :)

I dont work on my lowers much (except for my calves)... but if leg excersizes really help with anabolic/androgenic hormones then i guess i should throw a few in.:D

over at massmonsterz there's a guy known as mule who squats just over 1000....yea 1000

i feel confident in saying that even he, like any other serious trainer would have a lot more respect for someone squatting with 22 kg db's than someone squatting 500 with partial reps and bad form and screaming as they all invariably do

i do wonder why you squat w/ dbs?

when you do move up in weight squatting will be darn near impossible w/ dbs as far as i can tell

You sure about that MrFitness880? Because in Ronnie Coleman's bb'ing video "The Unbelievable" In what has to be some of the most incredible training footage ever filmed, Coleman pumps out reps in the Front Squat with 585 pounds! But that was FRONT SQUATS.

you're right thats a lot (in ronnies case), especially front squats. at the same time ronnie is a bber and this guy is a powerlifter which often have very different training strategies and goals

There's another, more important reason for working your entire body. By doing squats and deadlifts you tax your body and nervous system much more than through other exercises, which causes your body to shift more into a "growing" state. Which means bigger arms, chest, etc. in addition to having a well proportioned physique!

those squats that i was doing yesterday with the dbs (couldn't get my hands on the bbs - too busy) must have been badly done cuz my shoulders have been killing me today - moreso than when i actually worked them last week. any suggestions?

should i just stick to bb squats?

i have been trying to develope a nice lower body for over a year now but my legs are still pitiful. my legs are still too skinny..my calves are the worst... ne good workout routines i can try for them?

Chances are you were holding the db's at your side and as you were squating down or coming up you were doing a variation of a shoulder exercise called "shrugs". That is why bbs are better.
