They're funny and direct. They can be used in almost any context. They are never meant to be taken literally.

For example:

Insert any of the following cheesy pickup lines instead, and they're all just as effective:

If I told you that you had a great body, would you hold it against me?

I don't know, word games seem kind of weak, they take more time to memorize than regular openings . That's my opinion at least.

I think cheesy lines work, but I don't think the example u used is a good one. Talking about farts when u first start talking to chicks dosn't exactly get them super horny haha.

The one I usually use is:

HB: blah

No it's time for me to get your number haha

^ I used that a few times then just say, i'm just playing i just wanted to talk to u. Get talking then close the deal.

But yeah most cheesy ones are pretty good, but not that fart one.
