Night-hawk
Master Don Juan
You know that type of guy, the scene of him sitting around the bar, beer in hand, reminiscing on the glory days of old.
While his stories he holds as his last remnants of that lost relic of youth, and as he feels a sense of entitlement of his past conquests and rewards, his inner self is aching of a rotten sense of underachievement. His glory days have past him either from the drudgery of children, a nagging wife, or the deep emptiness that there isn't much else for him, as the cheers from the stadium tunnels still echoes, taunting his current state of happiness while mocking the conditions that have given rise to lack of.
FVCK THAT noise.
Don't be a glory days guy. Be the guy who sees glory always around the corner, glory peeking over head, and although it may take more to earn it then days of old, you know you are capable of attaining that glory again. It may come in different forms that you use to be used to, but because you haven't held on to past memories and stupid beliefs of what used to be the best days of your life, you have not become lazy in seeing them and finding them.
Your glory days are all the days you are proving yourself wrong with new achievements, however small...and that is not by escaping your current 'sorry days' back in to what you thought were 'glory days'...but by showing up your old self, and proving that motherfvcker wrong.
so lift up those cups and tell that glory days talking chump, "Cheers to all I'm going to do!"
