I used to moderate a forum. I can relate.
The internet is a big wide world. My attitude was: It'll grow back.
It's like a controlled burn on a forest or prairie. Sometimes the dead plants, garbage, and debris chokes the life out of the area. So, you slash and burn. What happens is the forest or prairie grows back stronger than it was before the burn.
I don't know about the rest of you, but there are a couple forums that I don't even bother checking because it's so choked with "debris" that there appears to be nothing of value to be found.
In this situation, where there are 6 or 7 stupid azz threads about "boo hoo! I'm a dumbazz and Diablo doesn't let me do stupid sh!t!" I would most likely delete all the hate threads, ban ALL the members on the "hate Diablo" bandwagon, and kick back comfortably knowing...
It will grow back.
Then get back to business: seduction, DJ'ing, etc.
Forums run well with "good cop/bad cop" moderation. Don't cry because Diablo is "bad cop". Personally, I appreciate the "Thor" style of moderation.
Keep on droppin' hammers Diablo!
:cheer:
