I just got a new job in a retail store (around 50 employees or so, like 3/4 being girls my age around 20) and my buddy just told me he overheard a few of them saying i'm the "cutest" guy in the store.

The problem is every conversation I have with these girls is boring as hell because it's at work and i don't want to cross the line so the speak. So it's the lamest casual chit chat ever, i'd prefer to just avoid it that's how lame it is (seems like a surefire path to the friend zone) Anyone have experience with this and have any advice they can offer?

It's just a part-time job and 90% of people working there are part time as well, so it's not your typical office job.

If you get involved with one of them and it doesn't work out it will make working there a living hell. I'm telling you from personal experience. You do not want to have to see a girl everyday at work that you still haven't gotten over/things didn't work out.

I don't expect you to stay away from them I didn't even follow this myself. After that bad experience I still went out with girls at work. A man can't help himself sometimes ;)

Standard excuse. If you need your job to pay bills, don't risk it. If you don't need it, why are you working?

If it's a part time job, you don't necessarily need the money desperately, go ahead and fuvk the whole work place. But, if it's your livelihood and you need the job, never stick your divk in the company ink. Start fuvking away.

My advice to you would be the next time you go on a job interview ask if they press charges for sexual harassment. Joey.

I've had some experience with this in the past.

Boring conversations are BORING, and makes the day much less fun.

I tend to try and make conversations with any girl (or woman) in the office entertaining, using a ****y and funny approach. Most girls love it, whether they're interested in you or not.

And if you get the feeling that one might be interested, chances are that they are. Just attempt to slowly escalate, making sure not to get too far ahead of her.

That way, if she turns out not to be interested, you can always de-escalate. On the other hand, if she is, just keep winding that spring until she snaps and can't control herself any longer.

I think you should go for it. Its a part time job in a store, those kind of vacancies are always popping up, you could easily find another job elsewhere, but approach with tact, subtle initially to see how it is recepted and pursue from there.

England, baby!
this is only a kids-retail job...
loads of the people are probably hooking up with each other already

- socialise with them outside work = opportunities

- you will be suprised how far you can take conversations - particuarly if you are seen as a bit of an alpha male type and have a fun vibe

I used to work at Best Buy in the cell phone department, and the second in command was the biggest flirt ever (well, so was the first in command, but it was a chick who was banging some dude from another department all the while living with her boyfriend, but I digress).

The guy was banging this cute 20-something chick from Customer Service, and would always flirt with EVERY chick, it didn't matter if she was an employee, a customer, whatever. Any and every chick he went after gave him a good response, including this MILF from appliances AND our supervisor (the chick that was a big flirt banging the 2 dudes). I saw him in action many times, and I draw inspiration from this guy anytime I'm feeling down about making approaches.

The guy wasn't that great looking (not terrible, just, average), had a bit of a beer gut, and wasn't exactly tall. However, he had confidence up the ass, and had a way of talking to chicks that got noticeable reactions from just about all of them.

Anyway, the chick was developing feelings for him, but he downplayed them a lot, and she was usually the one pursuing him from a point on. He kept his cool and kept doing his thing. He played his cards well and handled the situation so well I never saw any drama come out of this.
