After a long debate in the current makeshift chat room, there is now a time set for the chatroom that is not endorsed by Allen, therefore reducing his headache...The time of the chat will now be on Tuesday's at 10 pm eastern, 7 pm pacific. If you wish to participate, then post your AIM screen names, Trillian name, or AOL name...no email addresses and no ICQ's...There is a limit of 20 people that are able to be in the chat at once, but at the rate people yack, there should be some "ejections" pretty quickly. There is also a chance of the chat being held more then once a week, so be ready...That is all.

AIM is free too, and an AIM chat takes about 2 seconds to make. It's easier than an IRC chat because you can just pull DJs' names off of a buddylist and press "invite" rather than waiting to see if they remember the chat, because some, if they're like me, would forget and just not go in.

The problem with AIM chat rooms, you can't just idle and not leave. You have to invite everybody and you can't just have a room with 80 people inside and whoever is awake can talk.

If you wanted to, you could leave. If you have an away message next to your name when the chat starts, then you probably won't be invited anyway, so that cuts down on the people that are asleep. The chats are always lively and humorous.
