Does PU actually work?

I did well before the community with my own tricks. I haven't tried out much of PUA stuff. I guess my question is has anyone gone from trash to flash with hot girls(upper eschelon 7s on up)? And actually prospered from PU?

We don't particularly call what we preach here PU, but rather a way of dealing with girls without tricks, canned lines or ridiculous tactics that work on only one type of female. If you read around there is a ton of good info on improving yourself in order to improve your dating life. THAT works a lot better than any pick up scam.

Your inner game and vibe are the most important weapons not the routines.

There's been a hell of a difference in my life. Not specifically pick-up, but just the core concepts of self-improvement, confidence, and some of the basics to know what is going on an interaction.

Especially confidence; people will notice that. Routines are just useful addons for situations in which case you aren't positive on what to say, for when you need a bit of a fall-back and need to take the lead. They have a very useful place in what you do - they are very far from being the end-all of dealing with women.

So true lol. PUA mostly just gives guys a placebo effect and encourages playing the numbers game and honestly lowering of standards all in the name of a lay.

There are a few useful guidlines but for the most part anyone with some social intelligence and a little experience would've figured out for themself. The main thing is PUA just motivates guys to keep approaching and playing the numbers game and not get discouraged even in the face of rejections and social shaming from attempting pick up they may encounter.

I agree with Stagger.

Getting guys to approach is a good thing. That part is good training wheels. But once you can approach and have decent conversations, you don't need it.

The other benefit is you can learn to think up your own "games" or topics to keep things fun and interesting.

once again a thread about pick up where people are criticizing what they THINK pick up is and not what pick up actually is. pick up isnt the mystery method, that stuff is a punchline in the community. pick up is self actualization, being clear in your intent, strong tonality, posture, eye contact, indifference, viewing yourself as the prize, etc etc. yeah, that stuff NEEEEVER works on girls. :/

You're describing the RSD flavor of pickup. Nothing wrong with that, but there are different methods and different schools of thought. I'd agree that generally Mystery Method is considered outdated by most.

Forgetting all the tips, tricks, and routines, I would say that yes, pickup actually works. Because at the heart of it, the idea is to get out there and try. And if a girl isn't responding, you stay positive and keep improving and moving on to the next one until you find one that does. So by that definition, of course it will work.

Pickup does work for the reasons listed above. It get's guys to approach girls with the belief that it is going to work and to ignore rejection if it happens. Doing that with a belief that a positive outcome is entirely possible often MAKES the outcome possible. That creates a great vibe to have when meeting women. Canned lines etc. are also good for helping you to understand that you can talk about anything (as long as it's positive). All in all if you continue doing pickup for validation of you as a man, it is a sad state of affairs. If you use it as a crutch to becoming comfortable with your value as a man and your selection of women it is a very good thing.

also helps you meet and evaluate lots of different kinds of people. sharpens the game, pickup does.

Im talking with a few girls I picked up at the current moment. its all in how you spin it.

they will be like "oh you were just doing pickup" and I'll be like "what, its a problem to talk to people that you think are interesting?"

and then thats the end of that conversation, and you still have some companionship. **** it eeeasy
