It's a debate, topic, discussion i've always heard about, does it really get harder for women as they get older, but the oppossite for men as they get older? The way someone told me and it has made me more curious about it, he said "A guy can get a woman at pretty much any age, but it doesn't work that way for them. They have to use the time they are young to find someone, Be happy your a guy because you have that luxury."

They say men age better. Add in that men are also judged on their character--being older shows maturity, wisdom, experience, etc.

Women are judged solely on their looks. So they have but a small window for their prime.

You have to admit, it's good to be a man. Sometimes we don't think of it that way, but being a man is awesome. imagine being a chick where after a certain age you'll always lose to the younger, prettier girl, no matter how strong your personality is.

Generally I would say so....but I know a 40 year-old single knockout that took great care of her body, had a sweet and outgoing personality, and was still able to find an older wealthy divorced doctor.

Most men with common sense, when looking for something serious, won't shoot more than 10-15 years younger, which makes sense from a compatibility and maturity standpoint.

For the majority of older women they bring the "spoilage" onto themselves by bad lifestyle choices when they were younger and could afford to get away with it while their metabolisms were humming.

Add in the bitterness, bad attitudes, resentment and entitlement...honestly that right there is what puts men off from wanting to date older women. They grew up having the world practically cater to them when they were younger that they refuse to accept reality and adjust their expectations. All their whining, complaining, and bitterness will only further dig their dating graves.

I have no problem with older women, I just can't stand the majority of them that refuse to age gracefully and with class.

Provided a guy still looks after himself, yeah I would say this applies, for the majority of males who let themselves go this is not the case. Same kind of applies to women, got to remember a lot are now working out and getting botox and dentistry which is changing the equation slightly.

A man hits his prime around 28-42 and a woman around age 19-24, which is why older men often date younger women.

Older women of today used to be not that desirable for younger men and thanks to the cougar milf craze, look at all the power they have now.

From what I see, it gets harder for a woman to find a wealthy man when she gets older. But there will be still a selection of guys who want her.

In a way, i like to see this as Karma for women, thats what they get for labeling us guys creepers, stalkers, weirdo's, losers, putting us in the friend-zone, rejecting us nice-guys or former nice-guys, all of that rejecting catches up to them, haha.

As for women, that's an easy one to answer: think of the 5 hottest girls you know and notice what they have in common... all under the age of 28!

What it really boils down to is this you either look after your body and are in shape or you are not and while most people male or female usually seem to give up on themselves once they hit a certain age doesn't mean everyone else has. To put generalisations about age is generally rediculous and a sign of limited thinking. I have been going to the gym for more than two decades and my body is still improving in many ways, muscle maturity, strength etc, I really don't view myself as sliding at all. So please don't use ageist generalisations, as not all of us have given up on ourselves.

It's a nice fantasy but unfortunately not reality. If you're not getting laid now, getting older isn't going to make things any easier, except maybe with old ugly women. Most women over the age of 25 look absolutely horrible; I'd rather masturbate to porn.

You guys really think it all goes to hell for women at ~25?

Let's see, girls show up to college around 17-18. Sure, some get less attractive in college but a sizeable portion look pretty good up until graduation, which is at say 22. Now, I don't know where you guys are looking, but I've been out of college for a little bit and the women who were attractive in undergrad are still about the same attractiveness. So I really wonder where you guys get this idea from.

(A disclaimer though: maybe my sample is not representative of the world at large... Which is possible because I live in a big city and generally people pay a bit more attention to personal upkeep.)

Of the chicks past 25 I know who are still in good shape they tend to be the ones who were blessed genetically. If you look at photos of them when they were younger you can see that they were always hot, never ugly ducklings. It's the ones who had to work for their bodies and maintain them that tend to go into the downward slide in the late 20's as they get lazy, especially after they get married.

Youth in a woman will always be valued more, hence they will be more in demand. Older men "have it easier" in the sexual marketplace ONLY if they were intelligent in their youth and became Prizes as they aged.
