I am starting a newsletter for my own supplement company, www.supps4us.com. I have only started this up a few months ago as a side business and still taking things pretty slow. I’m building it up debt free and didn’t use any credit for anything thus far. Everything has been paid for in cash, including the inventory.

Do any of you have experience publishing newsletters? I am looking for tips on things such as: which e-mail service to use, any companies out there that help with this, any services out there that teach you how to install graphics and links in your newsletter, etc.

I read some of the rules of gmail (the e-mail service I currently use), and it has a max of 500 people that you can send an e-mail to at once. Any of you use a huge engine that lets you send thousands of e-mails at once, as a mass e-mail?

I’m obviously gonna start googling and doing research on this as well, but wanted to know if anyone actually has experience doing this. That always helps, to hear from someone who’s actually done it. Plus it helps to know which companies out there are actually legit and offer good services.

Thanks for any input on this!

And any way you can send me a copy of one of these newsletters, so I can see what they look like?

Why in the fak's faked face you would pay a company to publish news letter? PhpList is a free php newsletter platform. You can customize the front and back end to look like your site. It runs on your site's server, manages subscriptions and sends newsletters.

I'll be happy to set it all up for you. My fee is $250 dollars. But the program is free, and if you slightly know php you can do it your self.

Evil Agenda, thanks, I've sent you a PM with my info..

Drdee, I didn't say I would or wouldn't pay for a company to publish newsletters lol. If you read closely all I said is I'm wondering if anyone has done this since I plan on doing it and want to start researching it now. As far as your offer, I'll consider that if it's worth it. (In other words, don't rip me off here, if this thing is only gonna take you like one or two hours, than $250 seems like a bit much, so please be reasonable, I don't wanna get ripped off on the forum where I put in effort to help people:) )

I'll send you a PM with my info and perhpas you can explain to me a little more about what this php is, as I have no clue lol. I didn't make my website by the way, I paid a professional company to do it. In other words, I'm not a computer networking/design/whatever type of dude. I know the basics, word, excel, powerpoint, visio, etc. and a bit of access, but never heard of this "php" thing :).

But yeah, thanks, and let's keep in touch, maybe a mutual benefit comes out of you setting up the php thing for me :)

To set that thing up so it looks and functions like a coherent unit of your site is gonna take about 10 hours, if there are no incompatibility issues wi your server. I'm gonna edit the actual code and make the front end of that thing look like your site. 250 / 10 is what? 25 dollars per hour? I'm not gonna go lower! Especially that I'm in Russia, 250 bucks is not money here. I get paid more by locals.

Just looked at your site. You using monthly subscriptions lulz. That's not l33t.

In my world we don't use subscriptions, we build our own systems and we end up with lower overhead cost in the long run.
