I was reading about how the lame-duck session of Congress will pass a law codifying the right to marry regardless of race of gender (which evidently could be reversed by the courts), but the bill specifically said that there was no right to polygamous marriage.
It is quite obvious to me that there is a sizeable number of women who would prefer the option of being a plural wife of a high-value man (i.e., however that is defined) rather than to be a singular wife of a Beta Normie. The harem-maters now don't have to worry about getting nagged about getting married since there is no polygamy. Of course, being put in financial peril by a divorcing singular wife would be magnified with plural wives as such, so it would seems that the harem-masters would be loathe to do so - and of course, if anyone has the option to tell a nagging bride-wannabe no, it would be harem-master.
