Do you think the New Hypergamy is causing the downfall of the Romantic Comedy?

I was reading this:
The romantic comedy was once a tentpole of Hollywood. The genre defined A-list careers, won awards for studios, and made piles of cash. Then one day, rom-coms seemed a thing of the past, and their relative absence from theaters has been an open mystery for the better part of a decade. What killed the romantic comedy?
My opinion: Chicks are so picky these days that only the Chad-tier get them, and since they don't put up with rom-com BS like Normie-tier men do, there is no more zeitgeist for the rom-com.

My opinion: The formula was repeated to the point the entire plot was spoiled in the first 10 minutes. All the movies just became one big cliché. You're reading way too much into it.

Rom coms usually consisted of an ugly nerdy man, with an attractive put together woman. That's not real life and never will be if you don't have money. I'm glad they cut the act. Most rom com are cringey af too  my lord.

“Less people are getting married, or getting married young now than they were years ago, and the whole dating culture with the apps and online, there’s a subtle sea change in what that audience is looking at in terms of romantic comedy entertainment,” Billy Mernit, author of “Writing the Romantic Comedy” and story analyst at Universal, told Business Insider. “So you have the studios still making the same formulaic romantic comedy where it's a courtship story that leads to marriage, and it usually revolves around a young professional woman who gets a leg up by getting involved with an alpha male. The target audience, the twentysomethings and above, just no longer related to that kind of a movie and yet the studios seemed to be tone deaf to that change.”

My reactions...

1. Alpha males don't want a young professional woman. Alpha males, if they want a long term relationship, would prefer a woman with a less demanding career.

2. The only men impressed with women's career achievements are beta males.

3. I think the quote I provided is correct about the change in the dating culture and swipe apps. There are fewer real life meetings. It's difficult to make a romantic comedy about people meeting on a swipe app. There was a famous rom com about the early days of online dating, "You've Got Mail" in 1997.

4. One of the last big rom coms was 2015's "Trainwreck", featuring Amy Schumer as the lead. Amy Schumer was an overweight, mid-30s woman. That's ridiculous.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Women are finally fed up with watching (fictional) films of about the nice guy (i.e. sub-Chadlite) escaping the friendzone and dating his dream girl.

These movies used to be funny in a "cringe" sort of way. Now, they are striking a nerve and annoying women. They don't want their orbiters to get any ideas or false hopes.

Well there's definitely less romance in western culture than there used to be and , thanks to the humorless fascists who think they control everything (and they may be correct), comedy is quickly dying as well.
