Do you think sports betting has exploded because sexless men need the excitement of it to replace the conquest of poon they are missing?

I was reading this, and it got me interested:
my opinion: Sure, there is p0rn, and today's interactive p0rn experience (e.g., Chaturbate & OnlyFans  ) blows away dirty magazines and even filmed p0rn of old, and there are video games (even p0rn-simulation games ), but sports has the inherent aspect of conquest. Also, I guess a side effect of the incelibacy is that men have a lot of disposable income.

I can see how this idea makes sense. 28% of 18+ men have no sex in a given calendar year. Those are the worst of the worst cases. Then there are men who have no consistent partner and inconsistent sex. That probably takes the number of near sexless men up past 35%.

Married people are even having less sex than they once did.

"When looking only at married people, the drop was even sharper — from around 73 times a year in 1990 to around 55 in 2014."

"Among married couples under the age of 60, 26% had sex once a month or less in 2021. In 1989, it was 12%…"

Ever since they have gotten involved in sports betting, the guys have become insufferable. They literally lack a soul now and every ounce of free time is spent or shared with that hobby. I feel sorry for any woman sucker enough to date them lol.

To an extent, yes. But this definitely applies to video games. Most men are not winning in life, reaching their potential, or being the men their families and communities deserve, or worse, they themselves deserve.

They have been deceived and given the false sense of winning at anything through video games. It's the only way for some men to feel successful often seen as escapism from their regular meaningless lives. It's a sad epidemic to see in modern times.

Its because we are in difficult economic times. Every financial " guru" says get residual income. This is mens attempt at a residual income.

No.

It exploded because of fantasy sports and because it's now legal in most states in the US. Simplest reason is usually the right reason.

No need to try and overthink this and correlate it to random things.

Common sense tells that while some people would do it illegally, far more will do it once it's legal

possible, but also would be more willing to share, no one is really open to his vices, even more if is considered illegal or a bad thing, with an air of "legality" people are more willing to be open.

just think on whole weed thing, more people now are willing to say they do it since its kinda legal, when in most cases they would just hide it

course like you mentioned easy access always ease things, but I don't think it would be as big as they say
